If you are on an CARNIVAL excursion and you are late the ship will wait for you BUT if you are on a private excursion and you are late the ship will try to contact you to see what's going on, they will wait for a little while but they will eventually leave since they are on a schedule, WE HAVE SEEN this happen to a couple of people, the ship was pulling away when the passengers came back to the port, the ship just keeps going and will not pull back into the port. SO WORD OF ADVICE....BE BACK IN PLENTY OF TIME, ALWAYS MAKE SURE OF SHIP TIME AND CONFIRM WHAT TIME YOU NEED TO BE BACK ON BOARD! Happy Cruising!
We took a last minute 5 day cruise out of Charleston South Carolina on the Carnival Sunshine October 23-28 2023. We visited Nassau and were supposed to go to Half Moon Cay but the weather didn't cooperate so we didn't end up going there, which was sad since we just love HMC but we also love sea days, so it was okay.
