- My Acura Integra Sedan project car has developed a new issue; loud bearing growling from the B18b engine assembly. We take a quick trip to the junkyard to find an abandoned Integra, which has just what we need! Or so I thought...

Imagine driving Mike home and he's hanging out your passenger side window. It's not because he drank too much; it's because you have a tan interior. RIP.
😅
Tan interior is just the worst 😂 Should be illegal
@@PrizzaMikeCould you tell us about the wiring on the 240? I remember you saying in one of the restoration videos that you were making wiring harness with all extra wires removed. How do you tuck wiring harnesses? How do the gauges work? Where do you buy the connectors? What ecu did you use? I would watch a whole video on wiring.
@@AnalogKid_2112sure
Imo tan interior can look decent but the prosthetic limb beige used on a lot of 90s JDM cars is awful
You know Franzi was happy when he said happy wife she happy life
I didn't even know they were married, I thought he said girlfriend in previous videos
It's not about the result, it's the journey. So entertaining, have missed the junkyard finds. Have you been recognised at a junkyard?
That's funny you ask! I got recognized by 2 different groups at this yard 😅
I can definitely film some more junkyard stuff soon!
Yes pleaseee@@PrizzaMike
@@PrizzaMikecome to Grand Rapids, MI. I have a few yard near here that'll be great content for you!
I love the the junkyard videos!
Weather has not been great in IL just snowed not too long ago
Nice looking Edsel there, Edsels were a subdivision of Ford at the time (Like Lincoln and Mercury) eventually they just got rolled into the Ford nameplate. Also the Rumble Bee was a factory option package for those early 2000s Ram trucks, essentially gave them either a high impact yellow or black, that stripe kit, a body kit/exterior add ons, some interior styling cues and 20" wheels, no performace enchancements or anything, pretty much just an appearance package
YOOO!! A Junkyard Video!! Always love these junkyard videos!
Perfect way to start my day is watching you 2 kids crazy kids having fun. Happy ya found the issue.
There's a funny saying I've heard for years, "R33 wheels look good on every car. Except the R33 they came on." And it's so true lol
Love the junkyard videos, its just so fun wandering around looking at all the cars there
dude your wife is supportive every car dreams to have such wife .bless u
I’ve been going to that junk yard for years. The prices have gotten insane due to new management. The yard was way better 4 years ago.
Definitely a ac clutch /bearing noise I had the same issue let’s just say it’s gonna be a hot summer this year.. 😢😢
The junkyard videos are dope! Would definitely watch more. That ps pump needed a replacing anyways, looks like it was worth the time and effort
Bruh the way you were so calm and well explained I almost thought you were the old chrisfix 😂
Funny you mentioned The high price & scalpers/re-sellers I found a pair of BMW 5 series headlights in the back of a audi & paid $40 for the Pair Re-sold them for a NICE Profit
The other nose you hear from the engine. It the timng belts tensioner bearing. Same sound on my Honda Accord before...😊
I love the junkyard video's I kinda miss them to be honest 😅
doordash just dropped off, load up youtube, a fresh prizza video posted and it’s a JUNKYARD video!? god blesssssss
Hilarious, I miss the junkyard videos. The rumble bee was an option on those dodge rams funny enough, also I cant help but laugh at you over the tan, my project gs300 came with all tan interior and someone installed black seat covers and black door panels, I've purchased tan panels and took the seat covers off LOL.
Mike you really need to either invest in a cordless ratchet or just bring one if you already have one for these junkyard trips. Just saves so much time tearing cars apart.
PrizzaMike you are a car guy that every guy would like to have as a friend!
Theres a u-pull about 10 minutes from me and thats my happy place. Love the junkyard vids!
I was cracking up😂 when you took the screw of the clock like punk the windshield 😂😂😂
I had owned two 4 Door Integra, it is the best Japanese sedan you can get, basically a much better built Honda Civic. It is fun to drive, lots of space, good on fuel, slightly better looker than the coupe (IMHO) the structure is more rigid than coupe. I wish I can get another Integra someday (after I am done with the a project car)
Love the junkyard videos! Great video, as always, Mike!
Top tip- whenever you are trying to diagnose grinding noises, you can use a cheap stethoscope or, attach a bunch of extensions and put them to your ear against whatever you think is making the noise. You will hear the grinding much easier!
5:34 ah, good ol' $3 admission. Out here in SoCal, LKQ raised it to $5. I also didn't find any worthwhile parts that day. Got some exercise though.
15:33 me over here with a cracked dashboard (I would have taken any color as long as it's not cracked, can always paint it with interior paint)
19:00 junkyard prices nowadays seems ridiculous; it's heading into retro video game territory and kind of defeat the purpose of a junkyard in the first place - affordability.
$70 for a dash harness and a used ps pump you had to pull yourself? That junkyard must also have been a travel agency because 'they be trippin'
Although the issue ended up being the A/C compressor, this still made for an entertaining video.
I may be the only one to feel this way, but I hope one day the 'work truck' gets a full restoration similar to the Gloria (which looks amazing).
Thanks again for another entertaining video!
Yess!! Another junkyard video. Man that's what got me watching the channel, stuck around for the journey.
Tech tip: use a long screwdriver and place the tip on the suspect part and the handle up against your ear and you can pinpoint the sound easier
Yo love this channel man I can't express it enough!
I actually just fixed my wife's radio going in and out in her car and it was all down to one of the speakers being slightly loose causing it's wiring to short to ground and when that happens the amp just cuts all power to save itself. A good way to test that out is to test continuity through the entire radio harness to ground until you find a wire. (Other than the radio ground wire of course). Hope that helps cuz I know swapping out radio harnesses is not always fun.
Lets go, another junkyard vid!!
Well at least you got some much needed junkyard time in. You seem very happy when getting new old parts for your cars. Glad it's only the ac. Timing issues would have been a take.
please mike I'm begging you please get a full set of type r late spec wheels they're so sick looking I love them and I think they would look insane on the integra
Love your content bro
Loyal viewer from Canada 🇨🇦
Sad to see some rarer or cleaner cars ending their life like that, but you gotta admit its fun exploring junkyards.
Love the junkyard videos! Please do a couple more, even though you're maybe not searching for something :D
the g33 wheels bring back a bad time ... the time where your s13 was t boned and got sandwhiched ,well its back to its glory now just needs a paint
Mike hasn’t made a junkyard vid in so long so happy he finally did keep em comingggg we love them
Man I missed the junkyard videos, they're the reason I bought all the interior parts necessary to black interior swap the gray interior in my Mustang
love your videos man keep up the good work
Love the vibes bro ! You guys are awesome
Such a great video man, keep it up 🖤
i just picked up my 99 integra with 195k miles, factory manual coupe, pretty much bone stock. i’m gonna go through and watch all of your integra videos now 🤣
YEESSSS!!! u dont know how eager i was to see these junkyard videos
Nice vid Mike ❤ in my 97 MB sprinter it was the pulley and the pump. It was literally 2 days ago.
Been waiting a while on another junkyard vid! Been a while.
Hope this helps with getting your integra door handle fixed! You buy a ek 96-00 door handle take it apart so your just left with handle and swap it over to the integra door handle shell💪🏽
That Edsel deserves saving big time.
Junkyard will probably charge way too much for it though.
The door harness unplugs at the A pillar, you don't need to take out the body harness. Just need to pull the driver fender to unplug it.
When u trying to find weird noises u should use a solid metal bar like an extension or screwdriver, touch one end around engine other end against ya ear ,works very well.Gloria looks amazing, excellent job there.Get that 200 done next😊
Prob bearing in the acpump. Had the same sound. Good vid bro
lmao @ the stiizy in the junkyard integra carpet 🤣
Cheifin a stiizy right now lol
Stiizy are lame. It's all about the terp sauce
Lets goo another junkyard vid!!
Becoming one of my y favorite channels to watch ❤
Woah a new video what a good way to start my day
Ay, you got a lapel mic upping the quality rock on man.
Missed videos on the Tegs :D can´t wait for more!
Another cool video mike.. very informative.. 👍
always immaculate vibes on this channel
you inspire me to get a project car you deserve more subs
Little moments of great happiness 🥰
Yo man im going to collage in September to do light weight vehicle repair and im saving up to hopefully buy a drift car and your contents helping me out alot man so keep doing what your doing 😎🤟
That's crazy. Never heard of that .good luck 😊
The harness breaking inside the door boots is a common issue on quite a few cars. Had to resolder some wires in my moms jeep for that exact issue.
The same thing happens on the EK chassis. The wires brake exactly where you pointed too in the door. Unfortunately those wires are in the under dash harness.
also, the ac idler pulley, id replace it as well when you go to do the compressor pulley. then tend to go out quite often.
I’ve always loved 240s. My pops had one when I was 10-13 so I actually experienced the 240 lifestyle and enjoy watching others mess with theirs. But the GLORIA content grabs my attention different than any other car on the channel for some reason. I like the integra content too but something is off about my love for the Gloria
love your videos mike❤
Omg I want that tan interior.super clean
I just want you to know that around 13mins when you start giving the windshield hell getting that bolt killed me!!!! I was laughing so hard! 😂😂
What junk yard is that?
my 2nd car was a 1996 acura integra, green with tan interior, as ugly as that combo is i loved it. i spent like $1200 on it and its was a giant rot box, leaking gas, ran like ass but i loved it and it taught me a lot. would love to get another one someday
For the ac u pull the 10mm in the middle and try not to lose the copper washer behind the clutch after tht it’s just a snap ring tht holds the bearing in place I’d do it from under the car just to not lose the Freon in the system..
The windows not going down is a pretty common problem in EK´s you just delete the plug that conects the interior harness with the door harness(in each door that has that problem)and it starts working, maybe that´s the problem that you are having. The only downside is that you stop having a door plug.
I plan on keeping my leak ps pump on my 01 Acura CL. The seal kit was like $13, so I'm just gonna rebuild it once it starts causing me issues.
Just swap over the ac clutch bearing from your spare, bearing is part of the ac clutch, one 10mm bolt in the front one c clip, that way you dont have to refill system.
Interesting, I did not know that, will definitely give it a try!
@@PrizzaMike lower the ac pump also take 3 out of 4 bolts out so it can tilt downwards because c clip is hard to remove if you cant see it, once its removed it literally will slide off, o ans unplug the wire going to the ac clutch.
If you’re ever near Danville, stop into Coultas. They have a large inventory and their prices are ridiculously cheap
ahh yeahhh more junkyard vids! amazing
Yo you come such a long way
i learn a lot when you work on your cars
😂😂 ngl breaks my hearts seeing that RAM "Rumble Bee" totaled like that, clean ass trucks ngl
hey i had the same issue with the radio cutting out randomly. i found adding an additional ground solved all the problems
JUNKYARD VIDDD👑‼️
junkyard videos always good
We need to see you in Japan !! Japan vids would be crazy
I love the junkyard vids :))))))
Hell yeah junkyard vid!
It's time to pull out the soldering iron and shrink tubes. Sucks soldering in the door areas.
Yoo new junkyard video 👍
You should definitely grab those back door handles, they fit the front doors. Easy fix for your passenger handle. You can even do the driver side as well a lot of coupe Integra people put sedan back handles on the front with keyless entry locks to hopefully prevent them from getting stolen. I miss my 2000 sedan LS was a cool car.
a lower profile tire on the 33 wheels will change the look of teggy. I love it !
yoo had the same on my tiburon... chased a belt squeel for weeks only for it to end up being the AC belt
Yooo!!! That junkyard is down the street from my house!! That’s sick!
A steath- a - scope is your best friend with the metal tip attachment.
Missed the junkyard videos!
Man I just found out I was not even subscribed and Ive been watching your videos since forever lol
yooo another junkyard video!
ahhhh yes the infamous civic/teggy door harness problems, there some pig tail connectors on ebay for like 90 bucks if all else fails
I missed these vids lets gooo
Yo 100% there should always be a plug somewhere for the door harness, needs to so there is a way to remove the door. Behind the rubber grommet where it does into the car would be my guess, sometimes they are reeeeeally hard to spot
Finally junkyard adventure 🥹
Yeeessss a junk yard video!
