It is true however that race bleeds into everything in America. Its not an excuse but it is a factor. There was even a psychologist once that proved how racism is even embedded everything even in our language ie the names of our food. Images are also very important. And if young black girls dont see images that are beautiful and resemble their facial features, hair texture , it can potentially be very emotionally damaging. So in some, I simply dont agree with the ignoring the facts tactic.
