I think I see the flowers of Jerusalem Artichokes. The drought, heat, disease and acidic soil got mine that I tried to establish as a wild food supply. I`m gonna have to buy garden lime and grow them in a pot. The good news is my soil is perfect for blueberries and figs. My wild bunny friend likes a lot of my favorites so next year I`m putting a small bunny fence around my area and planting her a patch of her favorites which seems to be green beans and everything else. I`m growing cucumbers indoors this winter...self pollinating type...lettuce, kale, arugula, beets, and several types of micro dwarf tomatoes. "Global Warming" keeps freezing my frost tolerant (to 10 degrees) outdoor winter garden plants in subtropical Louisiana.

I got two packs of chokeberry seeds but you have to do a cold stratification to get them to grow. I`m gonna put some in soil in a pot when we get cold weather and leave it outside and put some in soil in the fridge and see which one works.
