the fact that the budget for this short movie was 50$ really shows what a talented person like you can make out of basically nothing.
ofcourse if you have a million dollar house as a setting you don't need much else
Honestly “don’t look away” creeped me out when I first watched this lol very well done horror film especially since it was made by a small group with a really small budget.

The beauty of the jump scare you did was that it was actually subtle instead of explosive. And as for the girl turning away to call her dad, she was hoping the tape would work, but you know, when I'm looking at something that makes me uncomfortable, let alone scares me to death, I don't want to keep looking at it. So I would turn away, too.
I watched Don't look away today for the first time, and I loved it! I think both the kids' acting was great, and I never would've guessed that the lawn was an overlay! Great job!

The story also reminds me of SCP-173
Tbh I liked the fact that the rich family had the daughter do a "man's chore" (🤢) because it shows two things; that despite all their successes and benefits in life, the family still appreciates the value of hard work and the importance of teaching it to your children, and it shows that they are a family who tries to teach equality to their kids. It's just a nice little detail, even if unintentional.

Man i just remembered your channel and then started watching the, top 10 things you should never do in a nerf war. After watching a few of those I wondered if you still made videos since I technically grew up watching you from such a young age. To my surprise, you do! Plus, what makes it better is that you made one of my favorite horror videos here on youtube and I never knew it! I remember watching it when Coryxkenshin watched it on one of his SSS (Spooky Scary Sunday). Man, time flies i'll say that right now. I have a number when I watch that when it first came out it was genius actually like the reaping Angels and SCP whatever with copper sculpture combine I hope you can make more of this creature shorts just to let you know

The monster here is much more forgiving than Scp 173. Even if you blink or look away for a sec, the monster won't immediately come after you. Its like a short grace period before they start attacking again like when the sister looked away to call their dad, the monster too at least a second or two before attacking her.

I'll be completely honest and say i didn't really like the film, i thought it was cheesey and didnt feel any fear towards the monster as i did the weeping angels, so unfortunatly most of the scares were a complete miss. not my thing
However, i knew there was talent behind the film right off the bat. The fact you made this in 2 weeks and it didnt come out a mess is simply incredible.

Thank you for your honest critique! I’d highly recommend checking out my most recent horror film “Sweet Dreams.” It much more reflects my skills now and is a far superior film. Just make sure to watch it in the dark haha 👻

I was listening to this as I set up my next animation, what college did you go to? I have years until I can go to film school, but I have no idea where I want to go, and your college seems to be good, I mean your films are amazing! The only colleges I have heard about that I like are in Liverpool or Full Sail.
I clicked on a trailer that wasn't this it was wrinkles the clown and it popped up and played I felt like I wasn't suppose to be here but I watched it anyways because I was sucked into it but this was awesome for a short film it got straight to the point and felt like an actual movie. I would definitely watch this if it was a long film it was awesome.

Just an idea that I would appreciate if you thought about for a potential sequel. But as far as the origin of the creature, maybe it's the mom's ex boyfriend or something and she was somehow the villain of their story. Not on purpose or anything, but like she accidentally did something that turned him into that and he ended up hating her. To where she didn't even know that he was the thing. Anyway, I hope you read this and if nothing else it causes you, or someone else even, to come up with a few ideas.

I have a question, but first ...
I really enjoyed this. You only have so many minutes to introduce characters and scene, tell the story, etc. I think Stephen King's short stories convert to some of his best movies. And his son's sorry stories, 20th Century Ghosts are easily as good as those his father writes to this day.
Was every thread of the story followed through? Not all but you know that going into a short film.
Question, what would happen taking a picture of it either with film or with a cell phone.
We're had that cut too her pocket and saw the Apple logo. I thought that was where it might go, and I'm so glad you didn't because the way the film ends elevated it instead of some cheesey, tapping it on the Internet thing that there's not enough time to do properly.
Unless Apple product placement felt like the ,30+ million gold seeing their product placement was with a million or two for your next project.
I think Ringu and It Follows come to mind with this short and you could expand your creates universe without it being a sequel, just a blueprint or a jumping off point.

Since you mentioned resident evil 5 I was if you prefer resident evil 4 or 5?
I enjoy both for different reasons. I fully acknowledge 4 is the superior game and revolutionized survival horror games. That is a single player experience and great for it, albeit, little dated with controls.
5 is a super fun co-op experience that I've enjoyed many times and hold more nostalgia towards. But it's mostly dumb fun with a friend. No real depth beyond it's fun to play.

Part 2: After mom comes the dad tells her about the staring guy the mom suddenly starts to shake and the entire house starts shaking and then the staring thing appears and then it makes more and the mom suddenly starts to grow and grow and then the kids start to get scared and run but when they looked away the monster will just look at them and then they cant look away and then they start moving back and run into a taller creature then the other and its tall has a mask that looks like a statue mask and then the body is copper and then a green suit ripped with black under it and brown pants and yellow gloves with shiny purple boots and it attacks all the monsters and then it will look at the mom and bow at her and turns out the mother was a demon god
He really got someone to chain a bag to there head 😂 why who would do that

I like to think the creature is a man who likes the mother but got cursed himself
But if he couldnt have her no one could so he wanted to do stuff to them
It's hard to make movies because you need to think
I thought DON'T LOOK AWAY with a direct sequel to DON'T LOOK and it's the same monster albit in a damaged suit with his head all chained essentially from where people have tried to defend themselves against him,
maybe the dad even is the guy from that short having gone on the run from it after running out of ways to try and beat it. Or what if he used it to make money, I.E - removing people by letting it kill them and then getting rich using their ideas and somehow it got loose.
