  • Welcome to the channel. I was in the market for a #backpacksprayer but didn't want to go to another brand. Found this backpack sprayer from ( ‪@greenworkstools‬ #greenworks ‪@GreenworksTV‬ ) I think is pretty freakin cool in my opinion. Thanks for tuning in and checking out the review. Hopefully I answer any and all questions you all might have about this product but if not, definitely let me know in the comments and I'll do my best to provide an answer.

what are you spraying onto the fence(s)? And why? (Insecticides maybe?)

    • @TripleGreenLawnCare

Yes, you are correct! I was spraying a mixed of some things which will knock out any of the critters or bugs that might want to take up residence in the cracks.

8 mos later how is the backpack sprayer holding up and is it rated to spray bleach or chlorine products? Nice video

I had mine for a year(maybe a dozen uses) and it will no longer pressurize. I was using using oxalic acid as directed 1 cup per 1 gallon to remove rust spots off my driveway and sidewalk. Nothing crazy. Took it apart and looked at the motor. It's nothing more than a $20 water pressure diaphragm pump that you can get off Amazon with 2 wires going to a switch board that controls the on and off switch. Other than that, you're paying roughly $180(price without battery) for a plastic wand, tank and some padded straps.
This got me thinking though you can get the self priming diaphragm pump off Amazon for $20, a METAL spraying wand for $17 and a 12v rechargeable battery for $17. Build the mechanical bits for $55ish and attach it to water tank/bag you want. But at that price there is offbrand rechargeable sprayers that come in 1-1.5 gallons. The main benefit of building your own is you could make it interchangeable. Say make a bag that holds a 2.5 camping jug, and you have a couple of those with your pesticide/herbicide premixed, and all you would do is swap the jugs out as you use them up. The little diaphragm pump has a intake tube so you'd just pull it out your tank/clip the other tank on and drop the tube back in and continue.... also in hindsight that 4 gallon bag is not light at all when full and it takes up garage space.
But I turly believe with some time and boredom you could craft something that works better for you @ a cheaper price and that aside, I'd definitely go with a different brand if you are buying cause regardless it lasted only 1 year.

It’s been cool. I just had my first issue with it about two weeks ago with some leaking. It’s not perfect and definitely could be better but I still do like it a lot. It still gets the jobs done with ease on a regular basis for the most part.

So wait: you're invested in both 60V Greenworks and 40V Greenworks?

      Thanks for the comment!
Yup! I actually started with the 40 volt mower. Worked with that one for a few weeks and realized I needed a bit more more power. The two 4 amp hour batteries that came with that mower have helped me expand that battery line as well because that’s what my pole saw and a few blowers are in(40v).
