Incase you didn't know, fogs are cards that affect an entire board. Ya know, like a fog rolling into a town, it covers everything.

Pretty sure that M19 changed the ruling so that planeswalkers can only be targetted by cards that specifically say that they can affect planeswalkers.

They did change how damaging planeswalkers work, but if it says any target, that includes planeswalkers. The pre-errata version of "any target" was "target creature or player" but you could redirect non-combat damage from players to their planeswalkers.
