The very first version of the chant was "Un giorno All'Improvviso" by Napoli fans. But it's such a good chant. The Liverpool fans adapted it very well into English

was the first original chant sang in spain as a chant for the best player in the pitch...the chant was most associated recently with South American football teams but Allez was a modification by Dortmund BVB which the melody is slightly different to LFC's, what LFC fans did was changed the rhythm and added their own words and bang that why we have that version. The song you speak of is less than 10 yrs old but the original Olé, Olé, Olé
is more than 50 years old.

Ultimately more than a few teams in Europe have sung the song, we learnt it in Porto and adapted the lyrics to suit ourselves. I think it’s originally from Italy and was sung by Napoli fans first. Were the first team in Britain to sing it though, so that’s the only reason people try having a go because of all the other stupid fans who don’t even see European football.

I miss when Manchester United had this kind of tradition and energy instead of trying to market itself internationally as a brand. Sometimes I think to myself I might’ve supported the wrong club, I miss the love for tradition, the busby boys and the songs we sang of them, I miss when we weren’t struggling to find an identity. It feels hollow now, Liverpool is a beautiful club that has kept its love for tradition forever. I’m always going to be a United fan but hats off to Liverpool for being one of the few clubs I respect, I hope it never loses itself the way we have

the song is an italian hit from 80's:
"L'estate sta finendo" (Summer is ending) of Righeira brothers. They're from Turin and they support Juventus, but the original song is not related to football at all.
They were L'Aquila supporters to adapt the lyrics for a football team chant. That happened around 2014.
L'Aquila is a city of 70.000 people in centre Italy mountains, that one hit by earthquake in 2009. The football team has never been in the highest series: the local sport tradition is rugby, with some national titles too.
But the people is strongly attached to their homeland, and that is the matter of the lyrics.
Afterwards, soon supporters of different Serie A teams started to elaborate their own version, around 2015, with Juventus's between the first ones.
Napoli supporters weren't between them, but they came right after, around 2016, and adopted it more than anyone else in Serie A.
but all started from L'Aquila, which means "The Eagle" 🦅in Italian
