Using Tyvek to make stencils for use in encaustic wax. These stencils are NOT heat resistent. They are meant to be applied and removed before fusing :)
Bonjour, je place mes stencils avec de l'encaustique au réfrigérateur, la cire devient cassante et s'enlève facilement par la suite. Ce fût un plaisir de vous revoir 😊

Ahh! That’s a wonderful suggestion to put the stencils in the fridge so the wax will just pop right off! Thank you very much Sylvie:)
You are so creative. Would love to see what you can do with oil paint and cold wax.
Thank you very much:). Maybe one day. I love cold wax paintings and have dabbled with it.
Most of the cold wax I see is abstract but I am doing more realistic work. Your creative techniques could be adapted to cold wax.
I very much aspire to paint more abstractly. Need more time to do all the things! 😂
Thank you for the very cool information about making stencil. What is that black paper that you have engineer to catch the wax?
Hi Lynne :). The black paper is a Teflon BBQ sheet. It’s heat resistant and the wax will pop right off when it’s cool!
