    I'm from Portugal, I have two BJ40s, I would like to see the head removed before changing the engine of the other FJ. more interesting in my opinion. thank you and continue

      Hey! Thanks for the response. Your suggestion sounds interesting. I hadn't considered that. On that thought, I think I'll do a differential compression test. We do them on aircraft engines. Are you familiar with those? Basically, you pump compressed air into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and measure how much pressure the cylinder can hold compared to how much pressure you're pumping in. Nice thing about that method is you can hear the air escaping from the cylinder, and you can tell if it's coming from a valve or past the rings. If the rings seem good, and it only needs a valve job, your idea would be a good option. If it also needs rings, I'll probably just swap the engine. Thanks again!!
