Thank you for the opportunity to share my story. TikTok has been a blessing to me and so many others. Many lives saved and so many veterans supported through advocacy groups on this app because of its unique ability to connect people and build community. To the people saying ban it because it’s not a real job aren’t understanding how TikTok took the attention away from out of touch Hollywood elites and allowed regular class American citizens to reach an audience of their fellow Americans and bring joy, laughter, lessons, and love into homes around the world. Actors, musicians, film makers, teachers, doctors creating content that made a difference in the world. Should only Hollywood be deemed special enough to have such opportunities or is it ok for us regular folks to have an audience too?
