It can be over 32gb, you just need to change the format to FAT32 with a 3rd party app (you can find plenty tutorials on youtube). I myself use a 64gb sd card from samsung and after changing the format it works perfectly fine
Do I specifically need a 3rd party app or can I just format it into FAT32? Not all 3rd party's are reliable and would prefer to do it myself if possible.
@@Nightmare-wo2gd Sure you can, as long as it's formatted to FAT32 you're good to go. I think you can just make a 32gb partition and don't allocate the rest, but I am not sure since I used a 3rd party app.

The stock firmware does have a timebomb. This can be avoided by updating the firmware every year or by using a custom firmware
