I visit As Catedrais beach, arguably the most beautiful beach in Galicia, to try out a new set of ND filters that the people at Kase were kind enough to send me after I destroyed mine back in Scotland. I am after an image I'd been wanting to make for a very long time, but never could. Until now.

Adrian I strongly recommend a photo vest. Just wear it on the outside and it will soon become your best friend. It should cost about what that cable release costs.
Always such a pleasure to follow your journey and experiments. Sharing of thoughts on composition and settings provides a good learning experience. Brilliant images. Nice.
Nice images Adrian ...... when we went we had waders and accessed the beach just as the tide was beginning to go out (the guys at the gate took a bit of persuading) and avoided the hordes and their inevitable footprints.... at least for the first hour or so. Beautiful spot but the popularity with tourists make it a challenge. Managed to get some great shots during a lovely sunrise.
Hi Adrian, great idea having colour coded ND Filters it will certainly save time. Love the Cliff photo and that water was just glistening. And all the other photos were great as usual. Thanks for taking us on another great journey. 😊
Beautiful photographs. Those magnetic filters look great, so much more convenient than struggling with screw in filters that won't go on straight or get stuck when they do go on. I know it is a bit of a "first world problem", but those dangling cable releases are such a pain. There are cameras that have timed shutter speeds that are much longer (some Fuji, some Nikon), it should just be a standard part of specs. Start a campaign: convenience things all cameras should have as standard because they are just a software thing: a full range of in-camera aspect ratios and a convenient button or dial to set them; full range of timed long shutter speeds; a massive countdown display you can see on the rear LCD from distance.

I started following you again.
And the reason is that I am completely back in photographing black and white.
And who better to learn it from than the master himself.
I tried color for about a year but it didn't work.
So many distractions and so many things to take into account.
What is also important to me is that I can photograph during the day and don't have to wait for golden hour or the blue wood or there is too much sun.
I am disabled so I have my limitations.
Photography is my passion and my life.
In the days when we still worked with film, I also had a darkroom and made my own work there.
Now this has all become a lot easier with Lightroom and Photoshop.
Thank you for this video and I hope there will be many more to come from which I can learn.

Fabulous shots Adrian part of why I stopped doing long exposures was the fiddle with gear but the magnetics look good 😊

I love all of your videos my friend!!! You are a very talented photographer!!! Since getting the new Sony a7rv I don't have to use the clicker anymore. You can set the time for as long as you want. (Up to 999sec.) That beach is fantastic!!!!👍👍👍

Man, every time I see you struggle with that cable release I wish you had my Fuji GFX system which lets you set a up to a 60 minute exposure in timed mode.

Take 5-6 exposures at 30 sec. Bring all of them in photoshop and use median function to get the long exposure effect. Hope that helps
I’ve tried the kase revolution set but broke the polariser replaced it only to find they have two systems and are slightly different sizes, not impressed.
Good for Kase to support you, maybe they send you a case of Kase? you know why.
