Mark I am a licensed psychologist. I have watched your videos for a few years now and have seen the many personalities of Rebecca. I want to thank you for bringing awareness to the public about the struggles that many homeless people have with mental health. Our system is so broken. We need to open back up the mental institutions for people like Rebecca to get the mental health they need in order to live decent lives instead of being homeless and living on drugs...God bless Rebecca and all the people struggling with mental illness. God bless all our homeless people in America. We are all only one paycheck away from homelessness.....

Indeed, I too am a Healthcare provider, we work closely with DiDi Hirsch and many non-profit orhlganizations to assist, provide, and facilitate folks like Rebecca, we've have a low rate of sucess, we've secured funding by networking, and word of mouth, unfortunatly, in order to continue our quest, we had to sign an NDA to secure everyone's safety. Indeed, we've had a broken health system forvdecades, both at the State and Federal level funding was allocated and approved, yes, decades prior to Covid, many prestigious hotels, The Orlando Hotel, blocks near the infamous Farmers Market and Beverly Center, housing was based on a lottery system, many are homeless people come with a myraid of physical, emotional, drug addicts, and mental, this provides them VIP service, three meals a day, both a full-time social worker, nurses, crash cart, daily room service, training and rehabilitation center, and so many benefits which our Veterans DO NOT have access to!
The residents continue to attrack skid row drug dealers, which btw, The Orlando employs full time security on sight, and lastly they employ both an internist and Psychologist and psychiatrist on the premises as needed! The majority of the residents continue to violate and follow simple house rules, plus other housing projects were put in place outside of Los Angeles. Inasmuch, our community of non-profit resources extend a hand, folks like Rebecca are crying/begging for attention. Mark is one if the kindest, and caring human beings we all care, love, and appreciate. If our goverment has stepped in and have access to funds and housing, the drug addicts, prostitutes will end up in a ditch somewhere. Trust me, I've been following Mark for msny years, half the time, I observe from the side line.
Kanye, The Kardashians, and so many celebrities provided funding, clothes, and much more to Union Mission. We need to create a safe environment for both mother's and their children, hundreds have been placed into homes.
As long as addicts, mother's choose not make a conscience healthy decion, everything will remain the same! Rebecca has lost touch with reality, thank God for Narcan, otherwise, as someone mentioned, this would be a R.I

The same thing happened in Sweden som 30 years ago. We closed the institutions because people with struggling mental health had the same right as others to live a normal life. Unfortunately many of them were unable to live according to the rules of the society and became homeless and drug addicts. Sweden 40 years ago and Sweden today has not many things in common, at least not in this respect. But we can't turn back the clock.

Are these really different personalities though? ..... I don’t think so .. as someone who has watched the effects of drugs on people - especially crystal - I think Rebecca is varying between different stages of consciousness and awareness blurred by the effects and different levels of intense drugs, for extended periods of time.
Rebecca’s desire to transition and hatred of her physical attributes is also probably borne from this constant assault on her psyche by these very strong narcotics.
What is sitting underneath these varying displays is an intelligent, very sensitive human who indeed needs urgent mental assistance
I feel like her dramatic and eccentric personality is the same sober or high.
No amount of drugs can create this character out of thin air she’s fascinating.
I feel like she’s aware she is performing and having a great time entertaining herself and others.

Idk if I’m being out of pocket for saying this but I really hope Mark has a good support system and healthy network of friends outside of SWU. I couldn’t imagine being immersed into this culture as much as he is without being effected to some degree. The reality of this lifestyle is that people comply with their own demise and that’s heartbreaking. Besides this, Rebecca is my fav and I would love to see her heal and recover….probably more than anyone else I can think of.
I work with drug addicts in my profession, there is and we do offer help, but they have to want help, sometimes they're not ready for change and even circumstances or toxic people surrounding them can stop them from making positive changes in their life 😔

That’s why it’s funny when people go “Americans put however much money into military but only a fraction of that would END homelessness”. They’re so naive and spoiled, maybe rightfully so since most people with similar views are very young. In a free society, even without drugs there will exist outliners and disobeyers.

This is so difficult to see. From personal experience I was addicted to fentanyl. I lost my girlfriend, she lost the child we made, I lost my home everything…this was 2021. I am 2 years clean and I turned my life around only after I lost everyone and everything I cared for. I hope the best for you Rebecca. I truly hope you don’t lose everything like I did before you decide sobriety is the way to go.

I am French as you could probably tell by that name lol and I was shocked hearing her speak french... It is mindblowing. I'd appreciate anyone letting me know how/where she'd learn to speak french so fluently, her accent is virtually non-existent

If you watch minute 20:30 Mark asks Rebecca about being in the hospital for 2 days to which she very quickly corrects him coherently and deliberately. You are a legend Rebecca, you have the world fooled. Get it together you were meant for greater things and we are all here for it.

This is probably my favourite video of Rebecca, but also very sad. It’s so true how fine the line between intelligence and insanity really is.
Tortured genius. She is amazing. More depth and pain and love and passion than a thousand average people put together. I wish she could find a way to be free of her demons and channel her unbelievable intelligence for her own happiness and inner peace. There was a stretch of about 5 minutes that was utterly captivating and I was hanging on every word like she was an acclaimed actor or Broadway in a one person dialogue that would get an hour long standing ovation.

Some very good poetry from Rebecca today. The best I’ve heard in years anywhere.
The part where Rebecca cut her monologue short and asked Mark, "I'm pissing you off today, because I'm not talking about the overdose?" Was a sort of self awareness and presence I haven't seen her have before in the interviews.
Some might see these as rambles, but I love it when Rebecca is less strung out enough to offer glimpses into her encyclopaedic brain of culture references.
Just like she said, she would do so well in fashion, she has the tools and the language. We pray for the recovery.

I worked in a mental hospital years ago; we we're taught to never encourage delusion. Don't take them further down that path. This was reinforced regularly.

Long ago I was doing supervision with a LCSW intern who had just lost a client to an overdose.
The student talked at length about how interesting, intelligent and charming the client was. How they would discuss politics, culture and art. This client was SO different from all their other clients.
I then pointed out that the client had a four bag a day heroin habit, and asked what they had done to identify antecedents, triggers and strategies.
It became very quiet in my office.
Long story made short; Rebecca is very entertaining, certainly intentionally so, but it's a facade.
You can engage with a facade and lose sight of the real person, dying right in front of you.
Uffff I’m an intern now, such great words of wisdom.

Whether that be physical pain that began with medical treatment and the best of intentions in minimizing pain after injury, illness, surgery, etc. Then suddenly, and unfortunately, you unlocked the addiction disorder in your brain that you didn't even know was there. It's like the wakening of a sleeping giant. Or it begins with emotional and mental pain. One can hurt so deeply and for one reason or another can't or won't seek out _professional _*_medical_* care, they begin partying or doing whatever to just numb themselves and boom! 💥 Same thing... they've unlocked substance use disorder in their brain. 😐 No one _CHOOSES_ to become an addict, ya know? Not even those that begin recreationally, partying on the weekends would ever imagine their lives will be in shambles in mere months. And just as you said, I don't condone it. But I do _understand_ how these things happen. Especially given the American Healthcare system where it's cheaper to self-medicate than to properly deal with mental illness, injury is etc. And I say all of this is a chronic pain patient myself.

So sorry to hear about your loss. I've gone thru the same but my brother passed from a combination of methadone seroquel and Klonopin. Without an opiate tolerance. He only took a 10mg methadone pill. I've taken up to 200mg and I'm not dead. Makes me mad. This happened in 2013 before fent hit the USA hard around 2016.
I'm so sorry you lost your daughter. It is a vicious, lying drug.

I know how hard life can be especially when ur in such a deep hole, coming from someone who’s tried to leave this life many times. It gets better once you let it get better. I’ve seen so many deaths from fent just because the people taking it were trying to escape reality. I love Rebecca and I just hope she can one day realize life is a game and being sober is the best part of life. Living and breathing is a miracle and a gift, even through hard times you just have to look at perspective. I love you Rebecca please save yourself. Nobody can help but yourself. I doubt now is ur time you’ve made it so far imagine how much farther you could make it once you realize your self worth. Love yourself. Substances just make you depreciate your natural state of being and you really lose yourself when you don’t know who u are without the drugs, or how to live life without them. It’s never too late. As someone with pretty bad adhd the way Rebecca thinks when she’s more sober makes so much sense to me. My brain is constantly connecting one word or phrase with a million phrases, movie quotes and songs.

I had to give my “Rebecca” Narcan this week . Watched them sob for two days how badly they wanted to stop using. Then they felt well enough to go and do the same thing. We will still be there at the other end trying to keep our city alive …If they make it to us

Are you harm reduction? At this point the fent use is so bad and since it is an synthetic drug I believe it alters your brain chemistry to where they feel like death without it. I believe in safe supply from actual doctors for these people. At least then they could Clean up, get a job and save money. They don't work because the street fent is too strong, they are withdrawaling half the time and trying to score the other half. They don't work because their job is trying to hustle money and then try to find drugs. Safe supply would also end the cartel China fent connection.

Does Rebecca, he has ever asked for help? Does he want help or does he want an audience who tells him how magnificent he is? That's the fine line that's being talked about.
One has to have a moment of clarity to come to their senses for just a moment to ask for help and accept that help without controlling who, what, where, when, why they must surrender to the help offered.
Of course l speak of legitimate help, professionals or if one is down and out there is A.A. N.A. in those programs help is offered in other issues, gambling, gender, compulsive behavior, they not only work if you work them, follow directions using a sponsor surrender to your disease, work the steps given, attend meeting regularly it's work the choice is yours.
What you can't do is do it your way.
Your way will lead you back to hell.
Thousands upon thousands have asked for help and are recovering in the programs.
One is never, never fully recovered going back to alcohol or drugs again as the issues are progressive even though we stopped doing them.
It works if you ask, work the program.
It is commitment and work which most people are never asked to do.
It's your life, what do you want to do.
I would suggest you ask for a moment of clarity, call for help A.A. N.A. G.A. you will get direction and help.
