Divergent was actually pretty good. Insurgent was the start of the end of “teen novel” era. This movie veered a little off the books- but not as badly as the final one- whose name I forget because forgetting it is actually a favor than remembering anything about it. They has such a great premise and they squandered it.
Babes, when I tell you that I was so scared to watch the 3rd movie, Allegiant; because you and I both know what happens at the end of the 3rd book... I cried for 2 weeks, refusing to read Four's POV... I was heartbroken. I actually went to watch Allegiant in the movie theater... and boy when I tell you that I was confused lmaoo.. and when we got to the end that I dreaded so much.. and the movie didn't end how it was supposed to.. I WAS LIVID. I literally yelled in the movie theater, "WHAT DO YOU MEAN SHE DOESN'T ___?!"

They were planning on making the 3rd book into 2 movies (like most movies of that time frame), but with how bad they did the first part of the book, and how poorly it did at the box office was the main reason
The reason Triss has short hair in Insurgent is Shailene Woodley had her hair cut for the movie The Fault in Our Stars and both movies were filmed close together.
I love how they could perfectly tie it in because of the whole hair-cutting scene with her mom in the 1st one!

I hope it’s only a phase because I’m going through it as well. I love both films equally. Shirley's acting prowess here specially the trial at Candor was phenomenal. Always make me tear up how she could channel the tragedy through body movements and words. 💕

This was a good sequel. Love the additions of Octavia Spencer as Joanna, and Naomi Watts as Four's mother Evelyn. And we got to see the other Factions.
It took me awhile to figure out how Eric(Jai Courtney) was able to find Tris and Four in Candor. Then it finally dawned on me that Tris' brother Caleb knew that's where they were going, and probably ratted them out.
I love the visual effects during the scenes when Tris was in the sim. I would've loved to have seen those scenes in the theater
Already looking forward to the conclusion(Allegiant)to this trilogy with Tara and Andrew. And hoping that Tara and John will be able to finish the "Maze Runner" trilogy soon as well.

Yep - they did Maze Runner but not the sequels. For me, the Scorch Trials movie was better than the book.

Maze runner is literally my favorite franchise out of all of the “teenagers face dystopian societies” movies that were released back then lol hunger games was good too but I never got into it. Maze runner had me HOOKED!

They planned to make the 3rd book (Allegiant) into 2 movies, but the response / box office for the first part was not good so they never did part 2. However, with the way that book ended, I don’t think that's a bad thing. Regardless, the last film feels incomplete and I don’t think it’s worth watching, personally.
I hated the ending of the 3rd book too, so I definitely agree with you.

If she's 100% divergent, then why was she only compatible with 3 factions in the first movie?
From what I understand, being 100% divergent means you have the genetic capability of having traits from all the factions but not necessarily that her personality is suited to it.
So I would assume people in the real world would count as 100% divergent but not all of us would feel comfortable in all the factions even though we may exhibit a random amount of traits from each faction.
Maybe she was pulled out of the sim before she was finished with the test the first time. Also, they changed Tris to 100% Divergent for the film.

I've never read the books, but Insurgent seems pretty cohesive as a movie. I really love the trials from the sim. I thought it was well thought of and atay true to Tris. Also the cgi on this are insanely impressive. 👏👏👏 Too bad Allegiant seemed rushed and not cohesive imho.

i remembered when the 3rd movie flopped, and the director or producer wanted to finish the final movie through tv series and asked Shailene if she is okay with that, but she refused and then the movie got cancelled...such a shame they butchered the 3rd movie...

@@theawesomeman9821 Yep. I read the book trilogy, and the fourth companion book titled Four, which is a series of short stories from Four’s perspective. I had mixed feelings about the last book and final film, Allegiant, but as a fan of the cast and the overall story I feel that it’s worth watching the film.
From what I hear, it's good BECAUSE it didn't stick to the source material lol, what the author did to Tris is better left off the big screen

I didn’t know this movie was gonna have a spicy scene in it, and I went to see it with my dad in the movie theater for my 13th birthday. I still remember being extremely mortified. 😭💀
I enjoyed these movies back than. watched the 3rd one in theatres with my mom. i wish they continued.

38:53 this scene of the movie reminds me of the Animus in assassin's Creed.
My issue with this book series is how the very premise of the society wouldn't even have lasted a single generation, let alone 200 years.
Power wasn't evenly divided so in a more realistic sense Dauntless would have taken direct control long before any of the others, or at least made an attempt which would have shattered the whole system.

Another way Ansel Elgort showed he didn’t belong with them is the way he killed the guy on the train. One handed and untrained and then his emotions are bothering the heck out of him. Tris didn’t show much concern about Caleb is because she I’d Divergent and can think multiple ways at the same time. Yeah, she was upset BUT she knew he couldn’t handle doing or watching all of the violence AND… it was his choice. Also, her three bird tattoo from the first movie represented her mom, her dad and Caleb. She felt she had killed two of them and didn’t want Caleb in harms way, especially by being in her proximity. (“Everyone I love or gets close to me dies.”) About Four’s dad, that forgiveness was covered in the first film when Four has to think for a moment before giving Marcus his hand to help him on the train. Four had his guard up around his dad and still didn’t trust him, but that was the resolution of that character arc. So that left film number two to cover his mommy issues… and then he takes Tris’ virginity.
There were a lot of gaffs in this film that wasn’t in the first. One being Four’s jump in front of a speeding train. There are, I believe, three shots for that leap. One is jumping, two is him in the air directly in front of the train and three, him landing. Now if you watch the speed of the train and Four’s complete leap, he would be dead. You can tell that right before he lands, the train was going to clip him. Tris being held on the floor of the compartment of the train with her head sticking out keep changing from her head being out from the neck and then them hanging out from about mid shoulder blades, and then back again. There were a lot of not so good editing choices. I know it sounds like I don’t like this film, but I do! I love Divergent and Insurgent. But no one would blame you if you skipped out on #3, Allegiant. It was not going to be made but Shailene wanted the trilogy completed, so it was made to go direct to video. I’ve mentioned this before, it’s ok if you watched “Fault in Our Stars” as the third film. It has Shailene and Ansel Elgort doing extremely amazing performances. I still watch it over and over again, it is that good. Thanks for watching this and I’ll keep. An eye out for y’all’s reactions to “FiOS”!

About why nobody stop the mother from going inside the building, it's an apartment building. A lot of people live there. How can the cop stop people from coming and going. The logically, the police will stop her from going to her own apartment since that is the crime scene.
It's fascinating how Triss and Caleb are siblings here but the actors play an amazing couple in the fault of our stars

Tara I would love to see you react to the shirt horror movie the other side of the box it is psychologically freaky as hell and is sure to haunt you for a while after it's only about 20 mins long but is better than most full length horror movies, Tyler Pochop does an insane job of scaring the crap out of you.
