You did a great job filming & explaining.
I'd like to comment first, that G'hopper makes several different kinds of decks, and some of the actions & comments made here to disconnect the deck may not apply to other mowing decks. My Grasshopper Model 721 with deck model 9552 uses a slightly different mounting method. The deck has the same rear facing pair of deck arms with the "n" shaped mount (the deck-arm mount clevis). At the open-ended bottom of the deck mount clevis is spring loaded pin that locks the mount into place. Just pull the pin & rotate up 90 degrees to lock open; pull & rotate down 90 degrees to lock closed and secure the deck to the tractor.
Second, the older G'hopper decks are much more heavy than the newer decks, and most men will be unable to lift them. However, I have seen decks with a tube aligned fore & aft to receive a long pole or pipe to obtain lifting leverage. I doubt that these older decks will lock into a convenient vertical position.
Third, the lever stowed in the aft tube you mentioned -- that is called the deck stand. It is slid onto a latch on the back of the deck and secured with a linchpin at the bracket you located. Then, when the deck height adjusting lever is moved, to the opposite position, the rear of the deck can be raised from or lowered to the nylon attachment mount bushings of the bracket.
Fourth, I encourage every G'hopper owner to get the company's manuals. The company has separate manuals for the tractor, the deck, and other accessories like baggers, blowers, arovator, plow & snow thrower. The manuals combine operation, assembly/disassembly, adjustment instructions, exploded parts & part numbers. You will not regret it.

The power lift decks are not Hydraulic rather it is a DC motor and lead screw. You are having a hard time lifting those latches because you have all the weight sitting on them. The shaft with the wheel that you mentioned from another video is what you need to release that tension. After lifting the deck and installing that shaft lower the deck until it is sitting on that wheel and then your levers will flip right up easily and the deck will not drop. I have an SL9861 deck which has a lever built in to drop a set of wheels to serve the same purpose. This should make your deck lifting safer and easier. Good luck!

Did you also work on getting your grasshopper key ignition system to work on your 670cc predator? It helps you not have to get on and off starting a shutting off all you need is a 30 Amp fuse and that should fix your electrical issue I have a Husqvarna yth2042 and it has the same fuse after the 708cc predator engine swap

I have not yet. I actually just reach over behind me while sitting. It’s not so bad but if I do, I’ll remember what you said. Thanks!
