TOOK MY 7 YEAR OLD DOWN DOUBLE BLACK DIAMOND PARANOID FLATS AT MAMMOTH MOUNTAIN

- Cash has hit some double black diamond runs before but this one was by far the scariest.
The day before we hit this run Mammoth had gotten about 8 new inches of snow. We were riding and listening/watching them bomb this run and the rest of the cornice most of the day. So when we went up the following day, we figure it was our time to get some fresh tracks without having to worry too much about avalanches.
We were right about the avys but boy were we wrong about the powder.
The conditions were sticky and heavy. That mixed with the steepest run that Cash had ever done made my mom heart panic a bit.
I took the first line after a very windy switch traverse. I almost fell over backward with how sticky it was. So to see Cash watch me almost loose it and then do good turns in those weird snow conditions on the side of a very steep mountain made me beyond proud!
We have more of this run that we will put up but we wanted to share just a snippet now because it was so cool how well she handled this.
Mammoth so far has us all progressing more than we thought especially with two more weeks to come!

* waves * Hello from Colorado!

I’m from WI but moved to UT to ski when I was 23. I’m 69, and live in AZ as a snowbird. Miss my skiing days. Casey, you are awesome.
I have an unbelievable amount of respect for Cashy. I was almost twice her age when I went on my first double black (Rosie’s Run, Copper Mountain) and doing tricks was inconceivable to me at the time! I got scared going down one of the upper bowls at Copper and ended up going too slow in knee deep powder and got stuck and had to take my board off and get rescued. She’s going to conquer the world at this rate.
She’s for sure gaining confidence to be one badass woman!
I used to ski Mammoth a lot in the 80's and know how steep it is coming off the cornice from the top. I was impressed with how well Cashy did traversing the face... I did it on skis so I'm totally blown away she did it on a board... and had to laugh at one point after stopping when she said, "you're mine chunky", as she picked it up and bit into the snow chunk. Loved this full video... hugs to ya guys.
She sure loves her snow!. Every stop, another bite.
Her hunger for snow chunks is hilarious 🤣
It just shows how much she trusts her parents and their coaching. Not once did I hear any fear in her little ditties she creates as she goes. I would be terrified. She never flinched. She has an incredible amount of confidence for a 7 year old, and that is the best indicator of how her parents, parent, and what they are doing is setting Cashy up to succeed in anything she is passionate about. What an amazing little gal! ❤
That’s our whole goal. For her to be confident and not let failure stop her from achieving her dreams
I think this showed the challenge of being such a young prodigy in this sport. For instance, not understanding the concept of a "Lifeline", when she is in a situation where that is a literal lifeline, not just metaphoric. And if Cashy cannot understand that yet, it might be harder to keep her focused and safe.
It has be a real challenge as her parents, to know when to push and when to wait and allow her knowledge of life, time to grow and mature, before taking on more treacherous terrain. Bless you for always being patient and supportive as you navigate through these things❤
Thank you! Every experience is different and she handled this perfectly!
So scary! And I’m on my couch 😂
Happy Mothers Day Whitney and all the moms reading this! Thanks for all your videos! ❤😊
Enjoy this Special Day!
Thank you! You too!
Wow, wow, wow! That was the most challenging Black Diamond she has done yet! Have to admit, I found myself tensing up in spots, just watching! Well done, half pint! 💕
Love that you enjoyed the ride!
Have to admit, heart in mouth in some places, but once she gets it she really does (even though she looked like she was more interested in eating the mountain😂).🌟🌟🌟
It’s like she puts the snow directly into her blood eating it all off the mtn 🤣
When I see dad working so hard on his turns it shoes how great Cash is doing. I’d love to do that on skis but not on a board!!
Yeah it was not the easiest run to tackle but she did so well keeping controlled and confident
Have fun cadh n mom n dad, u guys are awesome. Cash is amazing
I watched this while on a flight 2 Orlando. So wonderful 2 hear cashy sing, didn’t care that I couldn’t understand the words ☺️
Great courage Cash!!! Go show!!!
Wow Cashy, you had me on the edge of my seat in south Louisiana watching you come down that one !!😱🫣❤
That was amazing. I cannot even stand up on skis. You guys are aweswome parenets. She is so confident for someone her age.
Thanks so much for your inspiring videos! I was a roller skater up until I suffered shingles in my inner ear. The nerves on one side of my head are messed up, and I have trouble getting back on my skates now at age 70. But you Rowleys have kept me hopeful and inspired! Love and hugs to all! Cashy is my little hero!!!🎉❤❤
You got it, Mom!
She’s flying!!
Another awesome snow day.
Wow that Looks hard awesome Work
Cashy flies when she sings…that extra element of confidence!❤
Wow!!!! Got my morning abs workout! I was nervously clenching my guts every time you guys looked back up the slope and showed how steep it was!😮😮😮❤❤
I liked how you broke the run into short pieces she could handle and checking her comfort level! (The secret to eating an elephant: one bite at a time!)❤❤🏂🏂🏂
Way to go Cashy!!!❤❤❤❤
You're so welcome for the newly formed 6 pack 💪
@@RowleyAdventures 😁😁💪🏋️♀️
Cashy!! You did such a killer job getting down that super steep mountain.. I know that had to be a bit scary but yall had some amazing views while on the side of that steep steep mountain.. & Mom you did a gantastic job filming while killing it down that super steep stuff.
Thank you so much for the support all around!
Amazing Cashy, her little legs are getting so strong. Love her snacking on snow on each stop 😂
She’s really taking the “be one with the mountain” seriously 🤣
She sings pretty well too! Is there nothing this child can't do? I hope she believes there's not. You have a special little girl. ..but you know that.
Guys what a run that was! Cashy you were amazing and so brave. Love your teaching Nick and Whitney and your ability to help Cashy understand everything! Love to you all ❤️❤️❤️

Happy Mother's Day. Thank you for the gift of your family videos. Miami, FL

Epic guys
Huge great job 👏👏 and unforgettable memories ❣
You're taking me back 75 yrs when my parents put me on skies in an era when skiing wasn't the popular sport as it's today 😂 (btw I'm swiss), living in a village on south border of the Alps. Ppl described my parents as "completely out of mind " 😂.
Now following you from Indonesia as an underwater sea world fan 🤩
Keep going n enjoying 🥰💞
People think we’re crazy too but we don’t let that stop us as your parents did for you!
❤i watched in aww but this one made me nervous
I knew it turned out well because you were filming, but that was steep. Love watching you guys, but keep our Cashy girl safe! God's blessing and may He watcg over y'all.❤
Thank you so much for the blessings
That was so AWESOME Cashy, Mom and Dad....I had sweaty palms on those steep sections watching you all....By the way HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to you Cashy's Mom. But I am so amazed at how far she has gotten in 7 yrs. I am so proud of Cashy and so proud of you Mom and Dad of being great all around teachers. Can't wait for videos. Love you three.
Thank you so much for the love and stoke!
That was intense! I'm laying in bed exhausted from working in the yard all day, and Cashy flashes on my screen. I had to open the video. I found myself moving as if I was on that big mountain with you guys. Wow. That whole time riding such a steep mountain for that length of time is pretty incredible. Go Cashy!!! Now I'm really tired. I can't imagine how tired you all must have been when you finished.... Donna From Palatine, Illinois, 10:44 pm. May 12. 2024.
Our legs were quite dusted after this run!
I was at the edge of my seat watching you all go down that mountain. Several times I noticed that I'd stopped breathing because of how steep it was. Cashy was amazing! ❤
It was a fun run!
That feeling of being scared and I’m not even on the slope! 😲 So fun to watch!
It was fun to film! Thank you for the love
Cashy is my hero forever and a day❤.
She was awesome. I would have been so scared at her age to attempt something like that. She is fearsome. You go girl. Cashy you are amazing. Thank you for the cool video.
Thank you so much!!
That was awesome good job guys . I totally enjoy watching your family and how you are with Cashy . Good y’all
Thanks so much
Oh gosh! Oh gosh! Oh gosh! 😂
This is so wonderful the respect and love she has for this 👏👏great job you have done!!
Thank you so much!
I’m watching from Gabriola Island BC, I was in the edge of my seat. You are a brave girl Cashy.
TYSM
That looks so fun!
Hey Cashy so stoked about that double diamond run! So steep you killed it! Amazed you still have snow in May. Watching from Toronto, Canada. We hardly had any snow here this year, what we did get got rained or melted off the next day. Sad.
Mammoth holds snow for quite awhile! It’s so fun to come here and ride in the spring
I was nervous watching it! Great job!
❤❤❤
That was impressive. She was calm and did that like a G. I remember my first time coming down that cornice. I opted to scoot on my butt for that first steep part.
Mom brings the energy!
Mom has all the hype to accomplish anything!
💕

Wow!! I was a nervous wreck!! 🫣😂
I'm in my mid-sixties, and afraid of heights. I almost had three heart attacks, waiting for that wind to take her away, or blow her over the side. My goodness, she is such a brave girl. I wonder what she'll think of her younger self and the things she's accomplished at this age. Girl, You ROCK!!!
That’s gonna be an interesting thing to do when she’s like 16. Take a look back and see how she thinks about herself
Cassie you're doing so much better than what I would do I would have been petrified and refused to move and I'm 50
Happy Mother's Day! Whitney from a mom in Cassville, Missouri
Thank you

Nicely done!
I was watching her amazing journey from Chicago, Illinois.
Chitown!!!
Cashy !!!
This is krazy I mean she still a baby but so prodigy advanced
I couldn't watch the whole thing. I got too scared! wow. HI from Houston where it is very, very flat, lol!
Oh come back and finish it! It’s a fun ride
absolutely love the sound recording and mixing, some effort must go into it and its appreciated
Thank you! No mixing here, just the raw sound as it’s captured on the mic!
Cashy is the best
'Oh gosh - oh gosh !' - yeah, like she WASNT handling it like a champ !
She’s reverse psychology-ing herself 🤣
Never seen anything like dis
That’s a lot.
The usual Nice view of Mts. Ritter, Banner, and the Minarets! Small section of John Muir's The Range of Light (Sierra) !!! Great climbs!
Love the views from the top of Mammoth!
Super sketchy situation to put a 7 year old in.... Lucky she didnt tumble down that path or down that slope.
No luck needed, it’s all skill. A meteor could have also hit her but that didn’t happen. No need to think in the negative. Try looking at what did happen and the positives 🤙🏼 HashtagLifeAdvice
@@RowleyAdventuresmeteor defense? Rrriiiiight mang rrriiight. Momma sounded paranoid AF, like the name suggests. Hashtag sketch
I’m sorry but why would you put your child into such a dangerous situation? It doesn’t matter how great of a skier she is, she’s still only 7 years old with a whole life ahead of her. We are only human and one little slip….
If she was a skier I wouldn’t do this with her but since she’s a snowboarder I knew she’s tough enough to handle it 😉
That was really fun can I breathe now??😬😲🥹
Take a deep breath in….. Annnnd let it out
I literally just hit Cornice a couple of days ago & slid down half the run 🤣😭 sliding down the mountain was more scary than riding down 😅🫠 GREAT WORK CASH 👏🏾👏🏾🏂🏂🤣
Yeah sliding down is super scary! Glad you made it down safe!
