- Hugh Laurie delivers lines in a dark and sarcastic manner that never fails to crack us all up. As we see in the bloopers compilation....he does go off script. So is it all down to Hugh and his personal wit or the writers skill. I personally think it's a mixture of both that has made this show what it is today. Enjoy :-)

House sees Master's self-righteousness as a hypocrisy since she is not willing to be the "Doctor" who cures patients regardless of consequence and method.
House's strategy is flawed in the long term. In the short term, you lie to a patient, the patient lives. But eventually the patient will find out. Extend that over hundreds of patients and years of time? Eventually your trust is shattered, and trust, once lost, is almost impossible to regain.
Even worse, House is not just screwing over his own future, but the futures of all other doctors. By being unethical in such a prominent position, he undermines every doctor that exists.
The short-term gain is greater, but in the long term, it hurts more than it helps.

House want ppl to argue with him. Challenge his diagnosis and idea. Becos he wants to nuture doctors that think for themselves rather than following command and just plainly following the textbook. Becos not all information in the textbook are always true. Human evolves, changes and findings changes as well, leading to a better solution and giving us more information on the illnesses. Much so like when new machines are introduced into medical field like xrays, mri scan and so on. Before those, doctors can still diagnose the illness but the accuracy is way lower. Medicine evolves over time, much like every other field in the world.

Hesnot though, house is closer to batman, where masters would be the police, house doesnt always play by the rules and therefore gets better results, masters does and therefore can fumble and fail

You should watch the show... witty jokes, interesting characters, fun, sadness, moral dilemmas... good mix. Out of the 8 seasons there are maybe a few "below average/ somewhat boring" episodes, rest is decent or amazing.
according to the backstory he did her when they were undergrads and he did her some more when she was his boss.
