  • CLL Trustee, Gail Wiegman, introduces a discussion on living well with CLL chaired by Professor Chris Fegan with the following panelists:
    Dr. David Allsup who is a Senior Lecturer in Haematology with an Honorary NHS appointment with Hull University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust, based in the Queens Centre for Oncology and Haematology at Castle Hill Hospital. He is the local haemophilia director and has additional clinical interests in inherited and acquired platelet disorders. He is also the local lead for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia (CLL), in which he has a longstanding research interest.
    Julia Evans who is a Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS). Julia is a haematology specialist nurse at the Oxford Cancer Haematology Centre Churchill hospital and she has worked in general haematology for the past twelve years.

    my experience with vitamin D3 (with K2) is good….obviously not a cure for CLL but it protects against viral infections….imo it’s important for CLLers to have VitD levels checked/optimised

    I think with the new treatments that can be given in a fixed duration and can put the cll into remission for years that they should end the watch and wait.

      I got call never took any vaccines and sons had pals in house seen grandkids travel no masks in shops out all the time but tookvd3k2vcz zinc magnfor over 2years and my blood got better my doctor is so pleased I not had a flu or any thing in lockdown xpeace
