The marriage model in Islam is perfect for society. In the 1980's Ahmed Deedat was in a debate with Christian evangelist Jimmy Swaggart and this topic was brought up. Mr Swaggart said that 'Islam allows up to 4 wives but Christianity only allows for 1 wife so he had to get the BEST one in the first shot'. What transpired several weeks later was that Mr Swaggart got caught out with prostitutes and was defrocked from his ministry thereafter.
This is just one of many examples that the Christian model of marriage is not fit for society as a whole and it leaves a lot of men and women living in very unhappy and constricted situations.
