Toothpicks are always good to have handy in aiding to remove and reinstate the injectors without cross threading them. I use McDonalds or similar wooden spatulas to clean the burner crown jets.
I thought it was a video paying homage to the deck of the Star Ship Enterprise cos they were always getting thrown about when the Klingons attacked but I bet they weren't as sick as I was watching this.
You should have proven competency under the Gas Safety Installation and Use Regulations. The thermocouple produces an electrical current to enegise a coil to produce a magnet field to lift the valve of its seat
I dont repair hobs as I dont find it to be economical, if you have to remove this to take it apart how would you do a soundness test on the fittings within the casing, such as the compression to the burner?
I agree with you. But in answer to your question: Get an injector test point. Connect manometer. Check standing pressure on each line with gas control manually overridden with the power removed to prevent ignition. Or replace hob.

You test the entire installation from the meter to the thermoelectric valves. Any other joints not tested can be tested with ldf
