Great video - thanks. One thing people might find helpful is that for this routing to work, you must route your DAW to send out USB channels 17/18. If you just send them "Stereo Out", that normals to 1/2 unless you tell it otherwise.

Sweet video…does anyone know if the use of compression, gating, etc gets printed on the audio file? I saw another video that’s says the sound source doesn’t get printed with the software’s manipulations…?
I have the xr18 inputting into my computer using Reaper but I want to use my Focusrite as the output device to monitor what I'm recording. In Reaper I don't have that ability for separate input and output devices with ASIO and the xr18 driver. I downloaded ASIO4all and now I have two separate interfaces. But, the x18 input device is only showing the first two inputs, 1 and 2, and not 18. Any idea what needs to change?
Hello thanks for the video,i see that the MR18 is very dependad on its own software but i would like to ask 1.Can i use it in fruity loops and manage all the inputs from inside fruity loops channels (fx's/eq's/comp etc etc).Also can i just use it to listen to music like a normal thing from youtube or my personal mp3 etc etc.
Question: is it possible to use headphones to monitor the mixer output from M Air, but directly from the PC headphones out? I mean, not having to be connected to the box all the time and be able to hear the mix from another room for example.
DJ SINRG for real, finding useful info on the mr18 specifically is a serious problem. MIDAS needs to step it up. It’s not like we aren’t forking out some serious hard cash for this gear
@@D_BEAU I think MIDAS assume similarities with Behringer XR18 would make consumers watch the Behringer videos and implement similar procedures with the MR18
Mr18 uses Midas PRO preamps while the XR18 uses a lower end Midas Preamp. Midas PRO preamps have greater headroom and clarity and can record in 96khz vs just 48khz

Still don't understand how you can send more than one channel to the usb output? I want all channels or just a master mix to go out the usb.
Does this also apply to the DL16 for the M32C or can you do a video on using the M32C with the DL16 or 32 in logic or another daw?

The Windows drivers only show up as four stereo usb channels, though. I have not found a single solution to actually access all 18 channels. :/
asio4all driver will probably fix that

When are we going to get more content on the mr18? I am awaiting mines and there is no set up info on this mixer only the x-air series.
