Here we do unboxing, review and have a close look at the beautiful HMT Kedar Premium Watch. It is also compared with the HMT Stellar Saffron watch and the HMT Kohinoor Green watch. The lume of the watch is also shown.
Please note that HMT Watches Limited ceased production in 2016, so new HMT Kedar Automatic watches are not being produced. If you are interested in acquiring one, you may need to look for pre-owned or vintage models through watch collectors, online marketplaces, or vintage watch dealers. Additionally, it's a good idea to have a vintage watch authenticated and serviced by a professional watchmaker to ensure it's in working condition. The HMT Kedar does look like the Rado Diastar.

HMT (Hindustan Machine Tools) is an Indian government-owned company that primarily manufactures machine tools and watches. HMT was once a well-known brand for watches in India and had a range of watch models, including the HMT Galaxy.
In the year 1961, HMT set up a watch manufacturing Unit at Bangalore in collaboration with M/s Citizen Watch Co., Japan. The first batch of Hand Wound Wrist Watches manufactured here was released by the then Prime Minister of India, Jawaharlal Nehru. The most popular mechanical hand-wound watch is HMT Janata. There are also other mechanical watches like HMT Pilot, HMT Jhalak (Semi Skeletal), HMT Sona, HMT Braille.

I didn't like the watch at first! especially after seeing it on HMT's website then I came across your video and found out that this watch looks amazing! I was hunting for a few days and today finally I got lucky and ordered one for me! So much excited cause it will be my first automatic watch and I also wanted to add an HMT to my collection. The blue dial Kedar is the most famous one, but in my opinion, this green dial is the most beautiful..
There is no doubt this green one is the best it has a lovely shade and much much better legibility than the so-called tiffany color dial which is more famous. Got it! Hahah! Got it just today! The green dial HMT Kedar. I went to the Jalahalli HMT showroom and got the only one with the beautiful green dial!
These might be gone forever now! I am planning to buy something from them next month as well, hunting for the Himalaya model.
Congratulations. It is a nice automatic watch and at this rate is great value especially with its timeless case design. Get the baby blue Rajat, if you get the opportunity, will be posting that review soon. Himalaya is also a nice watch but the difference is that Kedar and Rajat both a fully stainless steel case while the Himalaya has silver coated brass case hence its coating might get chipped off, but its a nice HMT inhouse mechanical movement, see my review in this channel of both Himalaya variants.
Will Hmt himalaya gets chipped off with time? Or will it have the same appearance on normal usage?

Hmt Kohinoor is good for small raccoon like wrist like me than the kedar but both are nice
Kedar's case is same size as Kohi, infact Kedar's inner dial diameter is smaller than Kohi. So if you have small wrists and Kohinoor fits then definitely Kedar would fit and look good on you. Thanks for watching.

Yes, there is a chance it would come in stock. I got the light blue one couple of months back, but as HMT can easily source its automatic movement down the line we might get new stock.

Hello Sir, want to know it contains Acrylic or mineral glass , and it can be easily available in nearby watch maker shop if it got scratches or broken while using .
I think its Acrylic but not sure. Normally HMT has Acrylic. Yes you can get it from nearby shop also some people say Polywatch can be user to easily clear scratches on Acrylic watch glasses.

Hello, sometimes HMT staff do not update shipping info even when they have shipped the watch. So be on the lookout should reach you soon, might be surprise could reach in 2-3 days can take another week, that is my experience.

It was available a couple of days back on the site itself. I think it will come in stock again so keep checking site and best to buy on retail cost.
It feels like the steel case is gonna scratch pretty fast.
Time will tell, till now holding fine. Advantage of steel is we can rebuff it and remove scratches if need be. Such an option is not there in brass cases which are IP coated. Thanks for watching.
