‘80s Channel 4 really was the best TV Channel ever. Its lack of a strong identity became its identity. “Whatever works” seems to have been its mission, and it frequently didn’t, so they just tried something else.
Didn't know before seeing this that C4 did in-vision continuity for closedown.
Thanks for this rarity. Enjoyed seeing What the Papers Say - much less overbaked than what I've seen of the show starting from the '90s.
This reminds me of Media Watch, a Australian series that's like this.
