but his spoken voice is so beautiful... also when he calls the interviewer as Ranade sahib... Ranade refers to him in singular..."tum" instead of "aap"... why...?
@@jayap3557 In Marathi "tumhi" is equivalent to Hindi "Aap" , Marathi "Tu" is similar Hindi "Tum". Marathi "Aapan" is over the top and many times sarcastic when occasionally used.
great musician... plus such a fun-filled person... never imagined that great side to his personality... such a fun interview this is..loved every minute of it...though my marathi is very rusty... :-) i have attended a gathering where he sang...as a schoolkid... a few years b4 TV invaded our homes...never realised then that he was making great music...of such a high class... that is what our "education" tried to make of us i think...thank god that its not too late yet to see the truth of our great musical heritage in such great learned musicians who sang those days without much desire for fame and money...better late than never... What the interviewer says about hindustani sangeet and musicians coming from the north of karnataka is true...so many of the gems... like BhimsenJoshiji, GangubaiHangalji, MallikarjunMansurji... amazing people...
Sangeetha Veda 1 ,,,I am happy to tell you that I am understanding MARATHI ,Now a days. I can't talk or write of course. But not hesitating to listen to it.
