Explaining Digimon: OROCHIMON DIGIVOLUTION LINE [Digimon Conversation #52]

- Let us talk about OROCHIMON (our eight-headed snake). After dedicating an entire video to it, I am kind of wondering what might have been happening in the Ancient Digital World. Anyway, Orochimon has a Mega digivolution that probably belongs to the biggest in terms of height. Who else might be as huge?

Thank you for the upload, I love the content as always. You are the most thorough digimon CZcamsr when it comes to digimon lore and mythology!
Wooww thank youuuuu!!! This is deeeep!! I like to do my best for you all
I only speak the truth
@@DigimonExplained hay I left a theory about my favourite digimon tyrannomon can you check it out maybe do a video on it . Also DIGIMON ROLL
There is also Tamers and Xros Wars Orochimons
Imagine Orochimon having a X antibody form and how much of a nightmare that would have been.
What if we get Duraþrórmon, Veðrfölnirmom, and Ratatoskrmon
@@majesticgothitelle1802 I think I may have figured out the left hand of deltamon btw, looks like the skull of a tuskmon. Just missing a larger horn but the shape is relitively the same so maybe a skull version.
@@owlhatch3812 i talking about the four beast that surrounds Norse mythology yggdrasil as digimon
@@majesticgothitelle1802 You can add Jormungamon, Fenrimon and Hellmon.
@@EmpereurTom than we get the chthonic 12 base off of the deities who lives in the underworld with hades and be the counterpart to Olympian 12 that patrol and keep the dark area under control. 1# Plutomon, 2# Proserpinamon, 3# Morsmon, 4# Somnusmon, 5# Atyxmon, 6# Scotusmon, 7# Angelosmon, 8# Melainamon, 9# Macariamon, 10# Charonmon, 11# Zagreusmon, 12# Tartarusmon
As a fan of Orochimon I am happy to see this video.
Next could you explain the D-Brigade?
Darkdramon is one of my favorite Digimon of all time.
My actual favorite is Dorugoramon.
Could you perhaps do a video explaining its powers compared to Alphamon and Dex-Dorugoramon?
Maybe explaining Death X Digivolution.
To be fair regarding the outcome of the Nidhoggmon battle, a lot of us didn't like that outcome either. Plus it felt like Nidhoggmon had the accuracy of a Stormtrooper when he attacked the Digidestined. :D That being said it is in fact an awesome Digimon and it was nice to see Orochimon get practically a full evolution line as well.
Orochimon is very cool. I always find it interesting to see mon lines split to hero or villain and how they differ. Super stoked for a sovereigns vid!
Informative and articulate as usual. Keep up the good work brother.
Thanks for the digi content ! Nice vid after work !
I've recently gotten into digimon looking into it more, as a kid it was a passing interest but a friend got me more into the lore and and other series in the franchise. I'm pretty hooked now, your videos really are interesting and put things together cohesively, keep it up!
Does digital world and digital monsters exist really?
This was a good video and I like that you will be doing both Digimon and Pokemon videos.
Minervamon always seemed like a good evolution for Orochimon to me...
Both are related to Sneks;
Both are Virus-types;
Both are from the Nightmare Soldiers field;
Both have (suspicious) combining colors...
If a cat can turn into a angel, I don't see why not a snek can turn into a greek goddess...
Love your videos they are amazing please do a kermon love your stuff man
negamon must have soaked on social media like twitter and reddit
Hi Nostalgia925
Can you do an explanation about the digi egg of miracles ?
I really like it but I don’t know much about it
Thanks for the upload by the way
I've always found Eyesmon and Abbadomon similar in aesthetics. That led me to question the originality and creativity of the designs. Perhaps they come from different origins and etymologies, but the similarities stood out to me a lot while watching Adventure 2020.
That's because they are copying Alucard from Helsing and Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood. It is incredibly obvious.
@@andresmarrero8666 That had occurred to me. But obviousness is subjective. There's nothing created now that isn't copied. It's honestly fair to give them the benefit of the doubt hoping for something a little different. Omnimon and a lot of the mega level digimons are copied/inspired from mecha anime as well, so the point isn't new. That said, it just reinforces their lack of creativity when they still make designs similar.
@@bernardlovesadventures6649 people love to believe that but no. Creativity isn't copied but created, crafted from one's own mind. They are influenced from outside sources as we ultimately draw upon what we know and understand but by no means is creativity dead or in a perpetual cycle of recycling concepts. When something is obvious, it isn't subjective by the nature of the word itself. Omnimon doesn't just draw inspirations from mechs, it also draws upon the image of a white knight and that all falls back to the event and miracle that created Omnimon. For what does one send to defeat a monster of humanity's own creation? A super robot like a power rangers Megazord or a white knight from the likes of fairy tales who always slays the beast, Omnimon is both and is an original and cool design. It isn't trying to copy anything nor is it largely based off of any pre-existing work.
@@andresmarrero8666 I disagree. It's not just a belief but creativity is the sum of innovation of existing concepts. Again, there's nothing original that can be created or "crafted" that hasn't already been done. You said yourself that it's based on influence as well. And I also disagree on what something being obvious means. The nature of the word itself is based on existing knowledge. You're assuming everyone has the same knowledge or interpretation as you do. What if someone hasn't seen Helsing or FMA? What if it doesn't strike me as 'similar enough'? However, it doesn't take away from the fact of my point that Eyesmon and Abbadomon are similar in aesthetics; therefore it's natural to wonder if it was due to laziness, when the visual concepts of those two digimon could have been entirely different. As much as I love Omnimon, it's not original. Therein lies the difference between originality and creativity. It's creative and cool and is notably different from mechs, and is pretty much my favourite digimon. But to be objective, it isn't an original concept due to its likeness being a "super robot" or a "white knight" as you put it. I only used Omnimon as a comparison to demonstrate how it's a given for digimon to be inspired creatively by other sources. Again, my main point is that Eyesmon and Abbadomon are too similar in visual aesthetics.
Honestly feel like they should be connected in an evolution line, along with shademon.
Best digimon content on yoitube
You would think a digimon named NIDHOGGmon would have had something with Yggdrasil.
It's funny the way the lore of digimon is set up it could be a realistic phenomenon in the future
Nice
Nidhoggmon was all hype really.
And thank you
awesome video...pls can u do kuramon - armeggedemon line? if not...can u do shademon? pls ?
Would love to hear your theories regarding the four Digimon Sovereign and their 12 Digicores. Where did they come from? What Digimon could they once have belonged to?
Ngl, I remember how because of Rearise’s deva event people thought the tri’s orochimon came from Dinohumon and subsequently kamemon, and although I know how eyesmon scattered mode is a champion and not a rookie, it kinda has that gatomon/tuwarmon effect to where it could be used as different levels like how since gatomon lost her holy ring she became as weak as a rookie or how in xros wars tuwarmon was treated as a mode shift but in hunters it was treated as an evolution of damemon, and so although kamemon is probably ebonwumon’s rookie level, it would’ve been interesting if scattered mode was a partner rookie that became one of the four great sovereign digimon
Can you do a "what if?"
For eg:
1. what if in Digimon Adventures season 1, Devimon after absorbing Ogremon left file island and absorbs more Virus digimons from sarba continent ( starting from the minions of Etemon and Myotismon and finally absorbing both of them and finally in the end absorbing dark masters too... Is there chance for devimon to digivolve into an Apocalymon?)
2. What if Digimon adventures season 2, if the digimon emperor succeeded in putting the spiral on Patamon, will he be able to control Patamons dark digivolution which is more probably going to be a Devimon or a neo Devimon...?
Eyesmon looks like pride from FMA Brotherhood
Maybe Susano'omon sealed it to mirror Japanese mythology
Please do ghostmon :)
Hey. You missed the Orochimon in Tames. Where they pretty much just retold the Yamato-no-Orochi myth with Andromon.
Please do the lopmon line. Love my boy wendigomon
I don't know how to feel about this.
Orochimon seems like it was shoe-horned into this line by the developers of Adventure 2020.
I agree, there isn't exactly a visual through line with this line.
@@andresmarrero8666 Im not sure what you would have preferred to see, but I think a new Devimon varient would have been better.
I know we got DoneDevimon, but something similar to a mix of Shademon and Devidramon would have been perfect imo, not orochimon
anything on the Trailmon line?
I there was an orochimon in digimon fusion and I believe there was one in either frontier or tamers but I don't know which
Tamers... even though Frontier would have been... perfect. Considering who shows up in Fronteir
Orichimon is an interesting one I say.

I think it would make sense for the one who defeated orochimon in the past to be susanoomon
Have you looked into Sasunoomon?
We need the four beast that's circle Yggdrasill the stag, Veðrfölnir and Ratatoskr.
I would called them Duraþrórmon, Veðrfölnirmom, and Ratatoskrmon
Watching made me realize how dirty the did orochi in the reboot
SMT Lucifer vs Lucimon please
There's Trainee-Champion Argomon's now? Bruh
Idk why they never add it in games is a cool digimon
I have a theory . What if tyrannomons Rocky Level is guanlongmon it’s a fan art you can find if you look up tyrannomon evolution . It’s starts with poyomon then disomon then ganulomon then tyrannomon then metaltyrannomon then rusttyrannomon and then lastly coldsteeltyrannomon so what do you think here’s the lore of guanlongmon
It’s power is much grater then normal aguamon but at a similar level to a greymon . But it dose not know what it will become
Family’s
Nature spirits
Metal empire
Dragons roar
Virus busters
Attacks
Fire blast :where it fires a small fire ball
Encore friends : it encores it’s allies and only attacks it’s foe with a blast of high frequency roar
Personality
Free and data
So what do you think nostalgia925
Reminds me of alucard in hellsing
orochimon doesnt really fit being the form between eyesmon and nidhoggrmon looks like they just went at it
a much better mega for orochimon is just simply adding mega to its name MEGA-OROCHIMON just like in the legends depicting a mountain size multi headed snake bein able to coil on mountains similar to the yugioh card
they would then converge into Alucard xD
*Nidhogmon Exists*
Yggdrasil: ROYAL KNIGHTS ASSEMBLE NOOOOOOW
So, hear me out, since there's Negamon representing negative energy and data, shouldn't there be, let's call it Positimon, representing positive data and energy?
Sounds like orochimon sould be evil. Dose it? I mean he sounds like orochimaru from Naruto. ☠️😒🤔😱

THE FUCK.....
NAAAAAA MAN....It a bit to close to "Shadow" enemy of MMBN series ( 3 )
I personally think that Orochimon SHOULD NOT have appeared in Adventure 2020 as a digivolution for Eyesmon. It looks nothing alike, it has a totally different nature (the former is more mythological and elemental-based, the latter is much more eerie and, let's say, "lovecraftian"). Eyesmon should have been considered a perfect-level (could hold itself for a moment, against 6 perfect-level digimons) and digivolved directly into Nidhoggmon. Orochimon should have been left aside this time - I think it just doesn't fit. I mean: even the whole battle with Orochimon was a copycat of the previous one against Eyesmon. The developers could have saved one episode and spend it into other stuff!
For me, taking into account the "eye" concept, the ideal digivolution line would have been:
Soundbirdmon (child) -> Shademon (adult) -> Eyesmon (perfect) -> Nidhoggmon (mega)
Also a good idea would have been for Nidhoggmon (eye recurrence) to have survived and fuse with Negamon (mouth recurrence) to form the Ultra digimon "Abbadomon" (all eyes and mouths). XD I'd have called Toei to sell my idea if I knew they would be going to be so inconsistent...
Meanwhile Bastemon/Beastmon evolves into Barbamon, Tailmon/Gatomon evolves into the humanoid Angewomon, the Tyrannomon species can evolve into the Greymon species even though they are rivals, just like the Kabuterimon and Kuwagamon lines. Lucemon Falldown Mode is listed as one of Nidhoggmon's prior forms, Falldown Mode can evolve from Minotaurmon and into VenomVamdemon and even PLATINUM NUMEMON
Let's face it, evolution among digimon is just...everywhere
Let it be
@@baddragon7057 Yeah... "Maybe in the next life"...
But I sell Snake heads to the community
omegamon appearing just to 1 shot nidhoggmon is just lame
its the perfect time for wargreymon and metalgreymon's debut in the 2020 anime
I wouldn't say that Orochimon is the incarnation of Yamato no Orochi's vengeance and moreso that is just how the data came together in the digimon. Orochimon overheating phones I can see though with quite some difficulty. We do have barrier, manual overrides, and defenses to prevent such an inconvenience which is something that the franchise always conveniently ignores. Breaking windows however I don't see the guy doing directly so there was probably something else going on there.
Nidhoggmon is just sad. He is stick in an existence of consumption and destruction, always gathering and expending energy in a mindless and detrimental cycle. What's interesting is that during my research into Venusaur and their combative capabilities is that they could stop Niddhogmon with a minimum of two moves, leech seed and bide. Leech seed is a move in which the opponent is seeded with seeds that drain their opponent of their energy and transfers it to their originator (Venusaur in this case), and bide is a move that deals pure damage equivalent to double the harm done to the user. Due to Niddhogmon being a nexus of energy ,Venusaur would be constantly healed to prime condition which offsets the damage Venusaur is taking from Niddhogmon's presence. This allows Venusaur to build up enough damage to destroy Niddhogmon in one shot. Due to how bide works this end would be dealt by Niddhogmon's own hand which is fitting I think. Really goes to show having the right tools for the job can take you farther than one would expect. However the caveat is that Niddhogmon will have to be seeded at the very beginning of the encounter otherwise Venusaur will be over taken by the damage it is constantly receiving after a very long while. So the window in seeding Niddhogmon is very small, fortunately Niddhogmon is also very big but that doesn't change the fact the window of opportunity is incredibly small. This is just something I noticed when researching Venusaur.
Your strategy works only if Nidhoggmon chose to not attack Venusaur and let the Pokémon kill him for some reason.
@@EmpereurTom no that isn't a fault in the strategy, the amount of energy leech seed would be sending to Venusaur will ensure that the pokemon lives and directly attacking Venusaur only really makes it worse for Niddhogmon by adding more to bide. The biggest fault is that the window of opportunity is incredibly small and if Niddhogmon is not seeded during that window then Venusaur will be overwhelmed. Moves like reflect, light screen, and ingrain and items like leftovers or big root do help, though reflect and light screen will hamper bide a bit, but they are not necessary. Niddhogmon is essentially being used as a gaint battery, it is so overflowing with energy that the amount being leech off of it will keep Venusaur alive regardless of whether or not Niddhogmon directly attacks Venusaur or not.
@@andresmarrero8666 Wrong, it’s effectively a fault in your strategy. The amount of energy flowing from Nidhoggmon’s body is way too much for Venusaur to handle.
Nidhoggmon can nuke an entire city, how can you even believe that Venusaur can tank such power when any Fire-Type attack is enough to kill it.
Not to mention, Nidhoggmon should be able to crush Venusaur by sheer size alone, without even needing to attack it.
Also, Nidhoggmon’s energy will just burn Venusaur’s seeds, there a reason to why Grass Pokemon are weak against the Fire.
@@EmpereurTom you are not that very aware of how leech seed works are you? Leech seed cannot be burned, frozen, cut, or melted. The only way to get rid of them is to do high speed stational rotations to fling them off. The energy of the host that flows through them makes it impossible to get rid of them otherwise. The reason Venusaur is able to take all these attacks without needing any more defenses or setup is because of the amount of energy Niddhogmon has which is being funneled to Venusaur. Niddhogmon's energy is restoring and healing Venusaur to prime as much as he is harming Venusaur and all the while bide gets more and more damage to unleash upon Niddhogmon. Niddhogmon's own power, energy, and destructive cycle is what is keeping Venusaur alive and dooming the digimon.
@@andresmarrero8666 Lol, you chose to apply Pokémon logic to a Digimon which make your whole point irrelevant in the first place.
There literally no reason to believe that an attack from Nidhoggmon can’t burn leech seed since this attack never tanked a city-level nuclear hazard.
In the same way Venusaur can’t tank an attack from Nidhoggmon because no Venusaur in the entire history of Pokémon ever survived such amount of power.
And even going by Pokémon logic, the amount of life that leech seed give to it’s owner isn’t equal to the amount of life it would lost from a super-effective attack.
And once again, Venusaur isn’t immune to literal stomping.
Venusaur just isn’t a match for Nidhoggmon.
Digimon > Pokémon .Pokémon
Given their names, I think there's a strong possibility that the ancient being to seal Orochimon could have been Susanoomon. Susa-no-O was the storm god responsible for defeating Yamata no Orochi in Japanese mythology and Susanoomon even wields a weapon called the Zero Arms: Orochi which might be hinting towards this. Plus Susanoomon is basically the ancient counterpart to Omegamon so it's fitting then that Omegamon would be the one to defeat Nidhoggmon.
I was thinking the same it was probably Susanoomon
Can you do gergomon the digimon fusion based off of the gergoth please nostalgia925 please and thank you
