I like to imagine that Pokotho and Bliklotep are the closest of the Lords. Both deal in the dichotomy of entertainment, with Pokotho being the performers, and Bliklotep being the audience. As far back as TGWDLM, the audience was considered a member of the cast , acting separately to the puppets of Pokey. Every play needs an audience, and Bliklotep fills that role. It's funny to think of TGWDLM as Pokey putting on a play for his sibling just for the sake of it, and taking it a step forward, every musical in the series could be seen as Bliklotep in the audience (the lights are off in the stands, making it a sea of blackness in which the audience silently watches). Just a nice parallel I noticed.
I don’t see enough people appreciating the the way Richie and Max are dolls during the solo because that ideal Hatchetfield was a romanticization of the way they pretended the kids got along

And Pokotho in Bryce's Reporter's solo!!! and their colors in the "rainbow"!!!! Talking about Blinky and the Lords in Black's involvement would be too easy -- can we talk about how Solomon seems resistant to the Lords' influence? It's brought up/implied at some point later in the musical that he's already been involved with the Lords to some capacity, so it would make sense that it'd be harder for him to crack under their (metaphorical) pressure... ... and besides, Blinky and Pokey just wanted a good show.
this is UNHINGED. I adore the way the angry crowd is just a shapeless mass of anger with just those familiar purple eyes, and I love how unique and beautiful and true to the cast the designs of all the characters are!! Genuinely I can't express properly how much I love this
After seeing this animatic it’s made me think about something. Every musical in the hatchetfield series has focused on one lord solely. (TGWDLM was Pokey and Black Friday was Wiggly) but thinking about this animatic and the choice you made to have quite a lot of Blinky Symbolism it made me feel like NPMD is a collection of all the lords together. Wiggly, causing the townspeople to start getting wrathful and suspicious, even making Max vengeful, Tinky being the one who torments the Spankoffski line, Pokey being the one who loves a good “I Want”, Blinky who watches as the townspeople get more and more suspicious of each other and i suppose Nibbly is just there to see who’s the hungriest/who’ll go the furthest. Now that I’m saying all this out loud it is a bit wobbly here and there but considering we had a giant musical number solely dedicated to seeing all the lords and the fact that the black book was used to bring Max back in the first place, I think it’s a decent theory.

Trying to decide if the Boy Jerry design looks like someone in particular or if I’m just cursed. And it looks like he maybe signs at the beginning? Either way I’m obsessed with this! My new favorite interpretation of this song. Solomon instigating and then having it turned on him because of course Blinky won’t leave him out! The puppets! The whole Black Friday esque ending! HI OH MY GOD THIS WAS SO GOOD all the references to blinky were just so great; the chorus being alternating between the different characters; HOW UNHINGED BOY JERRY IS AT ANY GIVEN MOMENT; solomon lauter getting into the car at the end; the whole thing being shot as if its a news broadcast; MAX AND RICHIE IN THE BRIDGE; ur design for dan reynolds; UR ART STYLE IN GENERAL /POS; huge fan of the shot at 0:33 where the crowd is an eye; the note from the mayor to boy jerry just saying "make something up" before the brains were soup line, which makes so much sense considering lauters the one who initially said it was a ""man on the loose and hes got a gun"" (to which there was no evidence of, peak hatchetfield logic)- ALSO THE COLOURS IN THAT SHOT R SO GOOD; and then dans face on "yeah its gotta be donna", and him holding the camera to say "well i certainly dont *love* killing"; boy jerry pushing barry down the step thing and that following shot hes so fucking ominous /pos; the blue spotlight for pokey as well in the bridge; AGAIN, HOW UNHINGED BOY JERRY IS; how by the last chorus theyve just all dissolved into flat our MURDER (barry becomes the man with the gun, according to the shot at 3:06 lmao ,, and boy jerry with a hatchet (im assuming hes the one who got assigned an axe bc of abstinence camp and the axe man?) The camera angles really show off the tension of the scene and the way you portray both the violent nature of Hatchetfield and the sickly sweet “candy and rainbows” fantasy in such sharp contrast is great stuff. Not to mention keeping all your wonderful designs consistent and realistic while still providing great expressions (Solomon and Jerry especially). Great work!

All I can say is that this was amazing!!! i loved the way you added in all the lords in black in different parts of the song, but still kept Blinky's colors the main ones since the entire town felt that paranoia. This was so good, and I can't wait to see what you do next ^~^
Hello? How have I not seen this before?? It’s absolutely fantastic! I feel like the way you’ve portrayed the events of this song adds a lot of that apocalyptic weight that so often shows up in the hatchetverse. Now it’s turned from an accidental death to a series of killings to a full blown massacre, and it’s clear that even when the lords in black aren’t the impetus of the horror they’re always present and willing to turn a bad situation into a disaster. Also, them working together! Such a sweet sibling moment :)
Blinky and Pokey really decided they had to go all out on this collab and I love how you can clearly see whos influence is strongest at any moment, its so good

I LOVE how you make Corey do the thumb-pointy touch with three fingers up at 0:37. Cletus Jones much? Love all the (somteimes very ridiculous) crossovers and hints you can do in the Starkid fandom. Also loved how just before that, he lazies about until he realizes the cameras focus on him, and it is conveyed so fast and efficient and is just very good animatic storytelling XD

I LOVE how you make Corey do the thumb-pointy touch with three fingers up at 0:37. Cletus Jones much? Love all the (somteimes very ridiculous) crossovers and hints you can do in the Starkid fandom. Also loved how just before that, he lazies about until he realizes the cameras focus on him, and it is conveyed so fast and efficient and is just very good animatic storytelling XD
