I remember JC Whitney used to sell what they called seal softener in a can that was before your day JC Whitney was a discount catalog warehouse where you could buy all kinds of stuff I actually rebuilt a Chevy 283 V-8 from the JC Whitney catalog It actually ran really good for a long time but I think the seals softener was it gimmick it probably made the leak twice is bad
This setup reminds me of my dad's way of cutting hay he had a newidea sickle bar mower on the farmall c which he would run and my brother on the Oliver 66 hooked to the allis chalmers hay conditioner. For baling he used a international 50t hay baler with the y69 continental red seal engine powering it.
Nice to have the cylinders fixed, that will save you money in the long term. I'm looking forward to the cutting, raking and, baling videos. It's like watching a one man antique farm progress show. It includes all aspects of farming, to include maintenance and repairs. Even get some history education as well. You have an awesome channel. Hope Shelly is doing well. See you in the next one.
Ethan you got a quite a few things done getting your equipment and tractor ready for hay. Nice that you have a really well equipped shop to get a lot of things done 👍👍 and I hope you get some rain for your crops!! thanks Michael
Neighbor cuts n mows are water ways. Pays me for the hay, hope it goes well we all need a rain it looks good but living on sub soil moisture. Are wheat hasn't started to change yet but it in a wet field. From turkey creek farms be safe n thankful
Good video with lots of material. Thanks for sharing. I never knew Oliver made a hay conditioner. You may not need it much with grass until your alfalfa gets established.
Yessir, yessir!!! G’job OFB, good to see hay work right around the corner, all you have to do is get hay down and rain will come😎or so it seems. Keep crushin it young man 🇺🇸
Conflict of interest for you, but you know cutting hay is the best rain dance you could do right now! 🙏 Up here in Duluth, MN we got maybe 1/2” of rain in May. We had record 140 in. of snow this last season, to the second driest May in history.? My brother farms 50 miles NW , they got 1/2 in. and a 1/4 all month. Good luck!
That setup is looking pretty good to me considering after 15 years and 1000s of acres our jd 835 finally shit the cutterbar out. Pretty sure its got a crack in the cutterbar gear case and leaked all the oil out when my uncle was cutting. 10k for a new cutterbar. Just figured it would be better to find a newer one lol.
Never been around one of those with 3-point, .....ours all had the standard draw bar,.........................is that a factory piece? Where does third link hook to the tractor?
Oh yeah, let’s go, 1 hour video!

Your videos are a great source for me to learn. Any suggestions on where I can learn more about older tractors/implements ?
Right on Ethan love your videos and love the old equipment

I'm surprised to see the hay ground that was bailed last early last week is showing signs of coming back as dry as it's been Farm Boy!

Yea good condition used mowers can be had less than that. Price on parts is stupid sometimes.

Dad to the rescue... Is the hydraulic business a sideline with him or his primary business? He seems to do a lot of it. Just curious.
That’s his business
One day out have a chance and you do a video on how your dad made the 3 point I want to make one for mine
Would you ever consider setting your 525 up for wheat? Just curious
👍👏👏
This may help you as far as parts go saw another you tuber who uses them a lot. Worthington Ag Parts
Hey Ethan I know you might have a busy schedule but would it be possible to do a plowing video with the 77 and plow master 100
