Sansui SP-300 Speaker Woofer Stiff Surround Repair

I softened the surround on the woofer, which was stiff and prevented the woofer from having decent excursion. I made three applications using Goo-Gone on the surround about 15 minutes apart and worked the surround for about 45 seconds after each application by moving the cone in and out. Make sure to get the most outer part of the surround treated with the Goo-Gone. After the last application, go back and occasionally work the cone. The Goo-Gone did not loosen the surround adhesive.

I rebuilt the cross-overs with new high end capacitors. They sound great. I have been meaning to post videos of this. Just haven't gotten around to it. Yes, I will be selling them as I have no room for them.
