Time in a hundred million years from now that will show that golden record drifting throughout interstellar space contains a mere bar of the vast richness of our creativity. I hope that somewhere out there beyond us, others come to know the joy of music.

If I am not mistaken, at the end of the third movement, after their sweet little quote of "Auld Lang Syne," they even more briefly quote a bit from Mozart's Concerto for Flute and Harp, originally composed for a father flautist and his daughter harp player--slyly suggesting their teacher-pupil relationship also had the warmth of a parent-child relationship. Super artistry and super wit.

Most concerti have a cadenza at the end of a movement. Vivaldi has a habit of putting them at the beginning.

The last thing that can be said is this is a pedestrian performance of a superb piece of music.

Mia cara, le note , era Bach che le copiava dagli spartiti di Vivaldi, che lui stesso si era fatto pervenire, e chi non lo sa, Bach è stato il più grande estimatore di ivaldi, poi è diventato il più grande imitatore di Vivaldi. A parte il fatto che il paragone fra i due non si può fare! Vivaldi è soprattutto un violinista virtuoso, e conoscitore di pluri strumenti musicali, così i suoi concerti. Bach, studiando Vivaldi, ha italianizzato il suo stile. Io trovo un insulto dire che Vivaldi prendesse appunti. Chi lo afferma è perché sono influenzati dalla pizza. Non sanno quanto concerti di Vivaldi, tanti, sono stati trascritti da Bach, anche per organo! Ricordatevi, che Bach, è stato il più grande estimatore di Vivaldi, a ragione, non sarebbe stato d'accordo con chi per ignoranza, non conosce veramente Vivaldi!
