- I'll be honest, this one broke me. It has been awhile since I've been so emotionally invested in the making of one of these videos. I've sacrificed sleep and hours of my free time for it. I even worked on this video in the middle of my own graduation. Thanks to the size of this reaction, I had multiple moments of me just zoning out at particular moments of the editing process. My mind by the end of this was a gushy mess, and yet, I still can't help but smile. It is not perfect, by any means; none of my videos are, but I'm still happy with the end result. I am also now remembering that I make gacha reaction videos, not short films, but still. I'm always going to give it my all, so I hope this one was worth the wait. Thank you all.

What's so cool is that Gildedguy never had any intent on harming or killing Mar, Which would kinda mean that Gildedguy still held back against someone as powerful like Mar.
The only time we've ever seen Gildedguy try to go for the kill is with Bog.
With that thought in mind, how strong would glidedguy be if he did let loose entirely?

@@ominimonzwartalterb5526 Both weak and strong at the same time, The reason why Gildedguy is so creative is due to him not wanting to kill a living being (aside from Bog, which is valid since he doesn't count). He comes up with creative solutions than the easiest approach, which is killing.
He'd be broken in combat for sure, but he'd be focused on combat that he sucks at everything else in terms of skill
The way you made the connection between Ozpin and Mar is perfect, absolute peak story-telling without actually having a cohesive background. Ozpin's reaction to seeing his long-time friend, who was there with him through thick and thin, being stabbed like that was on point.
I cannot stress this enough but your one of the only good gacha reaction youtubers (I have yet to find another channel who has made accurate and in-character reactions as good as yours.)

Mar’s story is truly a sadden one based on the creator’s, Barthimo1, the same who help with the kite scene of from Gilded Guy during the lightning duel.
One mistake he made and he allowed it festered and eat at him. GG showed how people tried to aid him, but he only allowed it to harden his heart. Choosing to be the monster he foolishly made himself. Death in this series is the creators leaving the fandom fully.
The dragon is his folly and by a child’s hand… so shall he fall.
The gilded cages of apples and pigs are actually for the people he ate. Since his fire doesn’t destroy gold, as he consumes it, it also means he can give them things to eat when in him.
GG even wears a dragon hide cape! GG’s skill with a sword is grand becuase of this. It is easy to kill with a weapon meant to slay; but the talent to defeat without killing is greater
24:12, We see Mar still bare the herald of the dragon when he readies his sword… All he sees are his mistakes… and what he became than what he could be.
That’s why he turned down that help… for he doesn’t believe he can be anything else…
Today, The Mar the Dragon, last of the Three Mages of Old, have fallen! He was friend! Ally! And artist! Remember him well!
I love these kinds of story. It is poetic, sad and also a message the creator was making to his audience. It helps build the character we see and love them

I always get such a good happy feeling when I watch that last episode. To just see how far Golden boy has come, all of his efforts finally paying off. It's genuinely heartwarming. And your reactions with the characters were perfect and story you built around guildeguy is just as.
The only thing I'd want to see now is him going to visit his parents or vice versa, so he can regale them with tales of his adventures and show them what he's accomplished.
Maybe him and his dad could have a proper sparing match this time around.
Late comment but anyone else feel like Ironwood would offer Gildedguy a job after seeing him make a mech able to fight a dragon in under 4 months all by himself with nothing but a semblance and a very cool pen

Another awesome reaction video from the main man himself. Honestly, one of gildedguy's best and the lore between Oz and Mar is incredible. Rip to Ozpin, man need a break.
Although, this potentially being the finale for the golden boy is sad, but man it's definitely a high note to end off on.
Maybe they could react to some slush invaders stuff. They never did get to know who they were during gildedguy's meditation in story 4

I am glad I'm not the only one who notices it was playing a melodic version of the song that played in episode 0.
The more and more I watch Ozpin the more I liked his backgrounds of ideal. Maybe you should make a video of Ozpin having a dream of his grief of his friends.
And on the dream Mal talked to him, or if he need a better moral support... Jesse James, who was the ancestor of Guilded Guy, someone like Ozpin would need anything to make him sees that there is still something worth to fight for, and now he felt the last of the old era who needed so much a friend now than before.
A masterful re-framing to an already spectacular story.
A quick FYI, Story #8 will not be the last story. I believe there will be two more main stories, that being Gildedguy ‘Vs.’ Violet, and Gildedguy vs. Yupia. However, with controversy with Yupias creator, I don’t know how that will work out, but there have been hints of Yupia in Story #8! All in all, this is NOT the last story. Thank you for listening 🤝🏾

There’s some commentary I was expecting that didn’t happen, like Ironwood potentially catching onto Micheal (Gildedguy) sketching out the mech while in the Dragon, but this is an excellent reaction video. Thinking about Slush Invaders again, I realized that the Slush Defenders fit awfully well into the context of RWBY, minus the all-out jumping. They could be treated as a side-story of a Huntsman academy being invaded and its students trying to fend the assailants off, though the Blues would make no sense, and Micheal has no canon tie with them, as they have been retconned from the Cier storyline (apart from a brief cameo in #4)

Fun fact about The dragon of mar it’s fire can’t burn through gold nor melt it which explains why the pigs in the cage are fine which gildedguy uses his creativity to create his armor of gold (and another fun fact mar don’t like gold)
I wonder if mar was ozpins and salems freind during their time alive as ozma and pre dark pit salem . As the story and lore you given has hinted that they were once all friends before the break up between salem and ozpin . And i wonder if mar was salems only freind/living being who survived the gods leaving as the god curesd mar with something similar to what happened with salem . And he probably is one of the only people that still can do magic.and man hope you take break and rest up and the video is still in amazing quality that you put your heart and soul into. 👍
I'd assume salem had something to do with mars curse assuming that unlike Oz who found out via the video she knew via something else so I'd assume she turned mar into something bordering a grimm when he stood against her as she doesn't want to end her closest friend but leaving him alive would cause her too many problems later along the line so she did what she does best she made a monster

So maybe Ozpin could have had a connection with Mar like Salem did. Salem could have had the same connection with Mar as well. Which makes it twice as sad for Ozpin, cause any hope of the video being fake would be absolutely demolished once he felt the connection fade.

*Just my own personal idea/tale of how Mar is a part of this world*
Salem was The Woman Trapped in the Tower, but what is a tower, without a ward to guard it. Mar was foolish hero, only in it for the fame and fortune, hearing the maidens plea, he swiftly went forth for wealth beyond imagining, however, this made him an easy target, and was quickly defeated. Salem's Father, for reasons unknown, chose him for a new experiment. He conjured a magic most dark, and cursed Mar to be a dragon forevermore, one whose sole instinct is to ravage, burn, and destroy all those who may threaten him or his kingdom, which in his eyes, is basically everyone else. As you know the hero Ozma defeated the dragon and saved the princess, but in this reality, things went a bit differently, He learned the truth behind the dragon, and with careful planning, along with freeing Salem, He cured Mar of the Curse... sort of. Ozma's magic gave Mar the gift to shift between human and dragon at will, allowing him to live a semi normal life, however, the curse was never truly gone. I lied and lingered within him, mocking him for the atrocities he's committed through the reflections of that he sought so greedily, wealth, value, GOLD. Nevertheless he tried to live a semi-normal life. He ventured alongside the pair of Ozma and Salem, Having gratitude to the one who saved him, and familiarity with the maiden whom was his only company. When the gods reset the world, his curse kept him alive and returned him to a new world, a new world that overtook the old one, overtaking the old kingdom. Despite the kingdom of Salem's father no longer existing, his curse remained the same, the new world was threat to the old one and thereby the old kingdom, causing him to ravage anyone and everyone around him, fearing that he would harm more in a world without magic to tame or cure him, he sought isolation, an attempt to leave the world behind, so he traveled far and fast, following the only marker he recognized from the old world, a representation of his "jaded views", The Jade Star, I gave him the place he needed, A snowy mountain, Isolated from the rest of the world, He built a tower for himself and hoarded whatever he could to make his home. He studied astrology in hopes of finding anything else familiar to him, and to possibly find a cure in the stars. However the curse was not done. By day he sought the cure to his curse, but by night, It overtook him. His old greed mixing with the curse, It sought out towns, kingdoms, and all in between to collect gold, and burn everything else to the ground. That was how life was for him, seeking a cure for a curse in an unknown world as it continued to ravage him, and nothing else change... that is... until one fateful day, when a guy gilded in gold approached his doorstep...

I loved this video so much and there was only one thing I felt like would be better at the end where it that poster with his mech killing the dragon therefore he was remembered through history as someone who killed a dragon with a giant gold mech (at least to me it would feel awesome but it was amazing either way)

In the RWBY universe, Rick would be the most dangerous scientist in the world, everyone wants to avoid him and everyone hates him because he is too unpredictable and dangerous.
The Doctor would always be a time lord of the planet Galifrey who loves to come to Remnant, he has often helped teams destroy Grimm, or simply help with is intellect. He might even have already saved the RWBY team.
Would be so funny to watch, not to mention the fact that she would be a little afraid that Rick would kill their saviour.
