Barney was stealing chicks from Marshall to stop him from making a mistake by sleeping with someone before he and Lily got back together. Wow. That adds a new layer to everything.
I actually hate that. Sure Marshall and Lily being each other’s only lovers is romantic, but Marshall had a right to date other women when Lily broke his heart, Barney shouldn’t have meddled with that.
@@franciscoancer2618 i dont really remember this episode but marshall still loved lily for sure and probs didnt really want to get with those chicks deep down, plus if barney hadnt done that maybe getting with some other chick would have helped him get over lily and they wouldve never gotten back together and be happy for at least the next 20 years to come
@@paupajares9678 Even if Marshall still loved Lily deep down, he still has a right to date other women if that’s his decision. Lily broke his heart and he was super sad, he should be allowed to do what he wants to get over it. And if it happens that one of those girls is super perfect and captures Marshall’s heart, well then it’s Lily’s fault for dumping him.
@@franciscoancer2618 It's not about allowance to date another woman but he didn't really want it, because of Lily. Barney recognised the love/romantic between them and knows that it would've been destroying something beautiful.
It really shows Barney's true colours that he didn't even attempt to get with Lily while down there despite his constant hitting on her. God his character was so well written.
See what I respect about Barney is that he's well aware that true love exists, he just didn't want it because of what happened to him. You can sense that the more he kept hanging with the group, he slowly but surely was building his crave for true love back.
That's not definite but it was a possibility. As Barney told Lily, Marshall was broken up over her. But the longer Lily stayed in San Fran, the more time Marshall has to possibly move on. Then it maybe becomes an issue of timing. In the end I believe Marshall and Lily would've been married.
Barney. The tail chaser who was driven by narcistic tendencies and being a manchild, had also spine and balls do things, show up for his friends when they needed it most, and also when he's daughter was born he took responsibility of the little miracle without question and there was a hint that he was a single father. Barney is the man.
I'd up the ante: I think he is one of the greatest sitcom characters ever. There were many funny womanizers before, but this combination of quirks and this heart of gold, only the Barnicle
I'm not sure why anyone's surprised. Barney and Lily always had a bond, despite Barney flirts and Lily acting like his mom, they always had something. Kind of like the opposite of Marshall and Robin until that one episode.
Meanwhile, Ted called Lily a "grinch" and refused to apologize for it while actively trying to make Marshall forget about her during their break up instead of helping them get back together EDIT: Be warned. Multiple Teds in the replies
Ted was her bestfriend. He was with her for more than 5 years. If any of your best friend goes to another place without even asking or informing you and even after that you don't get any calls from him then what would you do? I mean Ted was right at the moment lily was a "grinch" to him
Okay there is something that confuses me a bit like this flashback happened in Summer and back then Marshall didnt began to date again and Barney said he can't steal chicks from him forever. (He also could speak about that he is gonna do that but how he said that just make my conclusion he mean it for back than and that couldn't be possible)

i mean he does sexually harass hundreds of women so not *that* well written
Barney got lost in the role he was playing…remember Barney was only suiting up for revenge…deep down he was still that hippie loving loser…

The first time Barney surprised tf out of everyone including the audience.
He didn't stop surprising us through the chapter. He even made a come back to Lily's appartement to ask her how to kill time before his trip back.
He played his character to perfection

This scene always moves me to tears even after ten years.
Can u tell me which episode and watch the season please

same.
This scene put the "Yeah sorry buddy, I'm gonna take this one" scene is such a wholesome light.
i love how he didnt even let lily say a single word and left 😂
Best character on the show
We all just accept that Barney has a schedule that allows him from NY to CA make a quick stop and turn around to return to CA.
What would stop him? His job? Pfff, PLEASE.
haha, PLEASE.
He is rich xD
Technically entirely possible on a weekend. It would SUCK but possible
@@NoThankUBeQuiet he also just may of taken a couple of personal days. I mean he does get days off

Awww Barney was the best character on HIMYM
Damn straight, then they fucked him over in the end.

I would love to have the financial freedom to just make short notice flights to everywhere :')

Yet more proof that Ted doesn't deserve Robin, she should be with Barney.

This is why Barney is the GOAT of this show.
Barney stealing chicks from Marshall makes more sense if you see him and Lily as best friends.
Hermoso vídeo, gracias!
True friend
I wonder what he did afterwards to spend the remaining time until his flight back. Fisherman's Wharf or Alcatraz would be good options. But which one?
Wharf... And some Ghirardelli to take home
Last time I was in SF it was a 3 day queue for Alcatraz, so there are no impulse trips to the island - unless you know someone!
