Rosemary should be included as well since it's great for strengthening hair. You should never boil herbs in water but use hot water to steep the herbs like you would tea in a cup. Otherwise boiling is destroying most of the nutrients.
+MsMalika64 That is very true for light flowery herbal teas, you can extract the medicinal properties very easily with warm water. While some teas need hot water. In my case ,I was using a few herbs that had pieces of root and bark which requires some boiling. Those properties were more important to me than the tea properties so I went ahead and boiled the entire thing. I'm sure I lost some nutrients, but I think I got enough to do the job! Thanks for this topic, and allowing me to clarify.
MsMalika64 I steep mine in the sum although it requires you do it a full day or two in advance. I wouldn't have a problem boiling though. The herbal rinse is my last step before twisting. I never wash out.
Horsetail, sage leaves, parsley, nettle leaf, marshmallow root and burdock root
Thank you!
Herbal rinses are great for all hair types. I don't have Locs but natural hair. Every time wash my hair my final rinse is done with herbs

do you wash out or leave in and does it dry the hair out?
@@delucastudios3097 no I’ve never experienced an issue. I’m also using herbs like hibiscus, marshmallow with high Mucilage content.

I do the same thing with my hair tea but I tend to use different variety of teas. I never thought about adding it to my conditioner but sounds like a good idea.
My salon does an herbal tea rinse, it's my favorite part of my salon visit, it tingles.

@@delucastudios3097 no they don’t
@@funsizechell ok thank you!
Your hair is growing; looks very good. I like to order too, what is there website? Thank you
You looked like it was so nice and relaxing!! lol quick question tho, why were you reusing the water? Gonna try one tonight because my scalp is more than mad with me!
I wanted to make sure my locs were saturated with the tea
I think I'll do this!!! Thanks lady!
why do u wash it out I think you should keep It in. it wont hurt
Just my preference...for me i think leaving it in will make my hair too soft like a leave in conditioner and would start to cause issues later on
What do you wash your hair with
Where can I find them little white bags to put the herbs in?
Will it be easier to put the strained herb tea into a spray bottle?
Jacqueline Robinson no because it's a rinse. I do take some of my rinse and keep it as a spritz for hydration during the week but putting it in a spray bottle for a rinse would take way too long
how often do you do your rinse
just depends on how my locs feel it try to do it once every few months
THE STUFF PEOPLE GO THROUGH FOR SOME LOCS LMAOOO... ALL KINDS OF DRINKS AND FOOD WTF HAHAHA.
BrandonLamarMusic natural hair too ppl use a lot of different stuff you wouldn't think of...but theres benefits to it
natural hair people(without locs) use herbal rinses . what's your point?🥱
