    Rosemary should be included as well since it's great for strengthening hair. You should never boil herbs in water but use hot water to steep the herbs like you would tea in a cup. Otherwise boiling is destroying most of the nutrients.

      +MsMalika64 That is very true for light flowery herbal teas, you can extract the medicinal properties very easily with warm water. While some teas need hot water. In my case ,I was using a few herbs that had pieces of root and bark which requires some boiling. Those properties were more important to me than the tea properties so I went ahead and boiled the entire thing. I'm sure I lost some nutrients, but I think I got enough to do the job! Thanks for this topic, and allowing me to clarify.

      MsMalika64 I steep mine in the sum although it requires you do it a full day or two in advance. I wouldn't have a problem boiling though. The herbal rinse is my last step before twisting. I never wash out.

    I do the same thing with my hair tea but I tend to use different variety of teas. I never thought about adding it to my conditioner but sounds like a good idea.

      Just my preference...for me i think leaving it in will make my hair too soft like a leave in conditioner and would start to cause issues later on

    Will it be easier to put the strained herb tea into a spray bottle?

    • @LoveLife-gv8jg
      @LoveLife-gv8jg Před 6 lety

      Jacqueline Robinson no because it's a rinse. I do take some of my rinse and keep it as a spritz for hydration during the week but putting it in a spray bottle for a rinse would take way too long
