- Fat White Family take to the Brixton Hill Rehearsal studios ahead of their warm-up dates at The Lexington back in January.
An intensive week in which to hone their songs for the road, and to work through new material from the then yet to be released Serfs Up! album.
I was fortunate to be invited to be the first 'outsider' to get a sneak preview of some of their new material.
Sworn to secrecy until after the release date I captured some exclusive and I must say priceless footage.

I was once an extra with saul in a rimmel makeup advert featuring kate moss, at bethnal green social club many years ago he was in a band called the saudi’s then I seem to remember. we took the piss out of everyone that day and ourselves, good times!

Lou Smith Netflix needs a Fat White documentary. Have “TGWTM” playing as opening credits accompany a montage of scenes of capitalism eating itself/Iraq war/Trump election/Brexit/Riots in France/ Australia/California fires etc., (fuck there’s a lot shit lol...) maybe chuck in scenes of vacuous celebrities... You get the picture. This band is the crippled foetus born out of the crack-whore mother knowingly smoking crack. The world has fucked itself and FWF are a microcosm of the discerning millennials banging their lonely, anxiety crippled heads against Trump’s oil soaked wall ad infinitum. tell ‘em I said that.
God I love this band so much. It's been a few years now that I've been in love with them. I saw them at Earth in Dalston last December and it was the first gig I'd gone to on my own for about 20 years. I just got drunk and stayed down the front for the whole show and thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. I've just watched this vid for the first time since then and realised pandemic or no pandemic, the world needs Fat White Family more than anything else. Please God they tour again after this nonsense has run its course....?....x

Its all great, but, from 4:04 is one of the best live musical performances I have ever watched.
I loved that session, filmed whilst rehearsing for their pair of dates at The Lexington. My daughter and I were the first to witness the live playing of their new material, and some classics thrown in for good measure. Glad you liked it.

😀 too nerdy for my skillset. Somebody out there may know. I don’t remember ever seeing that extensive an array, as his lifestyle wouldn’t allow keeping anything long enough to build it up.
