She’s just…I always thought she was one of the perfect castings for Tracy in other iterations in history. I’m aware that we don’t see her as often in other movie roles these days, but back then She just looked so bright-eyed, full of of energy and life. She killed it as the happy-go lucky and adorable Tracy, because there was no moment on screen where I couldn’t stop smiling whenever I saw her sing and dance. The most of the whole movie is just such an happy experience, really.
No, it’s because weight is stigmatized in our culture. A younger woman or girl, will have greater health complications from being *underweight* than overweight. Don’t buy into the myths about skinnyness automatically meaning ‘healthy’ and heavy as being ‘unhealthy’, it’s far more complicated than that.
