Customer review: "this tree company was great, very professional. They did throw one of their tools at the tree for 20 minutes but top notch crew. Five stars."
I disagree with almost every word. (i.e. "ft"? Which God? Why do you believe? etc.) But not the sentiment: August is a cool an knowledgable guy who explains stuff well. (Also fun to know that Oregons speak better English than most people from the states.) Regular viewer. Keep up the good work August.
@@mgrootemaat Jesus. He died on the cross for our sins brother. And was put in a tomb and rose the third day. He wants us to believe in him and put trust in him. He wants to save us so we don't go to Hell. You may not believe but if you except christ into your heart you will understand what love truly is. God bless you.
It's so interesting when you explain things like the "foundational ridge of compression wood" on that limb you were cutting. Engineering in man's architecture or Mother Nature's architecture is always amazing. Thanks for another entertaining and educational video.
I started watching this video thinking, "this looks familiar.....", then I remembered you did the livestream and I was able to watch it..... I'm a little slow, or maybe just over tired. 😴 Always enjoy being able to rig out whole stems. At first it seems like a lot more work and 15 minutes later the whole tree is down, limbed and cut into sections. 😁 You guys throwing the scrench at the stem was hilarious, you guys always seem to make the work "fun". 👊 Hey August, that KLR is a great bike, it should serve you well. Thanks for sharing and keep yourselves safe! 😃👍❤🌲🏍 Randy
Using the phaser to remove those limbs was pretty cool. Dropping a stem at a time was probably a fair time saver for you up the tree. The tradeoff was being bashed a little as it went past. Very nice.
I was just thinking a salami cut and that top could go, then bam there was a perfectly exicuted salami cut. Well done. Really like the occasional quick cut montages as well. 👍🏼
Impressive 🌲❤️ Another top quality video. Loved the 50 cal belt. Makes us all proud! Dirty Harry would give a nod to the belt and the scrench skit. Very much enjoyed the bike cam! 🌲❤️🛩🏍. Thanks August
I really enjoyed this video. The "Save the Trees" people probably think that you had very little feeling for the tree with the [who's behind me] stuff. Tree's have feelings too ya know.
Thanks for the ride down with the top. Never seen a red wood. Being in the midwest never been on the west coast. Be careful on that 2 wheeler. Hope the crew / family and you are doing well. Take care - be safe and God Bless.
Yes SIR!!! I was watching a couple old TV shows and one was "KOJAK"! He coined a comment I adopt FOR YOU - "WHO LOVES YA BABY"! ( 106K subscribers ) and counting! Thank you for all you do for US!
Reminds me of the fun times I used to have after-hours with the folks who worked for me many years ago. And, when will we see (hear?) "Jingle Bells" using tones from your saws? You know, like the barking dogs.
I can't imagine that I'd make a bad comment, but it's comforting knowing that I'd be relatively safe if I did lol show us more of your new bike. In conjunction with your new tshirt, last month was shark month on the Discovery Channel. I feel that August should be August Hunicke month on Discovery. One can hope...
Super cool comment about the tension in the compression wood on that branch. I’ve noticed silver maple do a weird weaving pattern that is visible in the bark on some of their big horizontal leads. Also really enjoyed the scrinch attacks!
Tip tie is what we call it lol same exact process except sometimes if it's a medium sized smaller pine or etc if you know what I mean by that with my size reference lol we will tip tie it but use 2 blocks and I put the portawrap on the machines bucket and put another pulley at the base of the tree we're using to rig it with and lock the portawrap off and get it tight as possible versus 2 guys tight sweating the porta. Damn tree literally will bounce off the stump after cutting it lol. We only use the machine cause we saving for a GRCS . We use a nice Bull Rope and big CMI blocks. Ultra dead eye slings. Etc. Appreciate the video August. Love the content. You would be proud how far I've came climbing since the first day I watched your videos forever ago. Remember your son has the same birthday as my little girl. Love the shirts btw..y'all boys be safe out there and stay hydrated!
It almost feels wrong typing this out to such a pro. I know you don’t need a lecture, and I know it was both calculated and controlled, but that cut at 9:35 made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. Be safe man love your content.
Also August thank you I did call Evan he got me the bar sugarhara 14 inch like you use on your 2511 I put it on mine from Rich built for me man is that thing rip that bar and chain I love it
The Videos from You always a goo Day to begin. You can to Explain all very Good. And if You the Tees to climb, is the strain, not to see, and You explain all Work step. To last have You and the Team Fun. You still a Surprise for me. What You all to make. Greeting 🇦🇹
Thanks for pointing out the compression wood ridge on red wood. Never noticed it before. I wonder if white pine does something similar since it breaks so easy.
That was pretty dang cool that was a lot of wood is that wood good for anything I mean can you use it for like fence posts or something cuz those were pretty straight pieces when you started cutting the stems down what is it
I found that Vegetable oil helps break down the pitch then dawn dish soap to take the vegetable oil off..works perfectly and without smelling like Gas..👌
Don't know if you'll see this but coconut oil works almost as good as gas, not that I've ever used gas to get pitch off... But coconut oil does work very well, speaking from experience as a timber faller that gets covered in pitch almost daily lol
Once again thank you for all you do August and crew! The multiple camera angles, narration, audio interjection, editing, etc. One question, is the trunk of a redwood just as brittle as the branch wood and does it change how high you go before you take a top? I noticed that Adam let the top run a fair bit and I assumed that was to reduce the side loading of the stem. Finally, it's fun to see you guys having fun with the work you do. Keep joking around and keeping it real.
I spy a t-shirt from a company just a couple of miles away from me here in California’s Central Valley just south of Sacramento. Who is wearing the Acampo Tree Service shirt??!! #209

When you’re trying to isolate a limb with your throw line and know the customer is watching and you keep missing...lol
LEGEND. I feel like you're safer 90ft up in a tree then riding a motorcycle. God bless you brother. Another thing to pray for... safe riding
I agree with every single word and sentiment.
God bless us all.

I have to say that it’s so awesome that you have a laid back crew and boss !! The saw wrench throw was cool ! 👍
I love looking at giant redwood limbs that build in massive gussets to support that lateral growth, as you say amazing!
That’s too much fun!
Great job on rigging the stems, hardest part is the waiting.
Stay safe

Another good informative clip, I loved how you guys tried to kill the dangerous tree with your spanner thingy ma Bob, keep up the great work
Haven't watched your videos in a long time this video reminded me why I admire you all!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Those quick saw scene cuts are hysterical!!! Keep it up August!! Love ya buddy!!
Great video August. Nothing like a little fun during the day.

Great video ,20 dent's in the redwood only 2 holes ha ha nice to see work & playtime it keep's you happy.
Enjoying the motorcycle content in addition to the tree work! I’ve got a Ninja 650 ABS. Riding is awesome!
Another thing we have in common August.
I too drive a KLR.
I use chainsaw mix gas on a rag!! Comes right off!! Thats what I clean my zig zag with also after pine jobs. Nothing else works even close as good.
KLR is a legendary bike! Great buy
Awesome work! Good to see fellas enjoying the job and you riding a bike and enjoying life a little bit!

So, MonkeyBeaver 2.0 has a gun sling too? I'll take three!
Awesome video brother as always
Sweet bike, good video. 👊
Y'all are awesome. Bsafe guys.
That was damn good rope running!!!!! No rodeo at all
New T-Shirt for you. "An hour in the shower."
“Look at all those limbs I didn’t have to cut!”. I felt that one.
I would hate to lose a redwood tree. Although Florida doesn't have redwoods, and I don't think I would want one right beside the house.
Ancient secret technique for getting sap off your skin: Toothpaste. Lots of it.
Almost anything can be a weapon in the right hands😆
That's gotta be the slowest way to cut down a tree, EVAH.😁😁😁
Awesome dude. Yall be safe
Now that’s the stuff people want to see and hear 👍🏻
2.0 monkey Beaver saddle love it best saddle ever made my opinion
New saddle looks cool
Vegetable Oil or Baby Oil seems to work great on pitch. And dollar store stickers that won't come off plate wear.

brilliant and funny too.....
What a team.
Yoooo! Got the new klr 650. Nice choice 👌 👍 👏
Don’t know about the new stuff but back in the big hair days, hairspray was the bomb at removing pitch.
The sweet success of sticking the scrench in the trunk - I laughed the whole time 😂 - I wondered if that was the new 🪨 📄 ✂️…
Thanks for pointing out the compression wood ridge on red wood. Never noticed it before. I wonder if white pine does something similar since it breaks so easy.
I’ve used lava rock soap for pitch and it helps
Now that’s great entertainment boys.
Tip for Damien. Hand sanitizer is a big help for getting pitch off.
I love those videos where you just klim up a tree and chop it down.
I just realized August laughs like Steve carroll 😆
You would be surprised what disposable diaper wipes will remove. Construction worker secret, but a bit concerning when used on your babies bottoms.
Gods engineering!

Enjoyed the video. Nice rigging out whole stems. You missed out on a lot of fun in stripping them down. But, time is money. 💰💸
That was pretty dang cool that was a lot of wood is that wood good for anything I mean can you use it for like fence posts or something cuz those were pretty straight pieces when you started cutting the stems down what is it
That was fucking awesomeee!!!
Cool T shirt August 👍
Coconut oil helps with removing pitch from your hands!
Awesome
Hi August , vis a vis. cleaning , my mum used butter and white sugar sixty years ago for everything on the skin ,!!
You could put a climb saw and rigging in the side bags in a pinch lol. Nice bike. Be safe.
I'm thankful for hard woods and not so sappy loblolly.
For getting pitch off of both clothes, equipment, rope and skin, I just use denatured alcohol. Highly effective, cheap and easy.
Try vegetable oil to remove pitch (AKA pine/spruce gum). It will emulsify the gum and then be much easier to wash off.
Rubbing/ isopropyl alcohol also works for sap, but don't spread it on your entire body or you could get poisoned.
Now that is something I have never seen, chunking a stem from the bottom up. Now let's see you do that with the one you are hanging from!
I found that Vegetable oil helps break down the pitch then dawn dish soap to take the vegetable oil off..works perfectly and without smelling like Gas..👌
I found just hot water and exfoliating gloves works for pitch, but as soon as you use any kind of soap, it doesn't come off
Yer got it.
Don't know if you'll see this but coconut oil works almost as good as gas, not that I've ever used gas to get pitch off... But coconut oil does work very well, speaking from experience as a timber faller that gets covered in pitch almost daily lol
👌 Nice

Whole thing brittle yep

Vaseline melts the pitch away like magic prior to body wash or bar soap. Work and clean up safe 🙂🌲
Monkey Beaver 2.0 camo the perfect climbing harness for saddle hunting.😉
Orange hand cleaner without the pumic works the best
If you don't wear a seat belt in a car, why do you wear a harness in a tree?
I don’t sell seatbelts
@@AugustHunicke lol that made me snort laugh. I really enjoy how you deal with the troll comments
Butter or peanut butter is the best and easiest way to get pitch off.
It's the only thing I know of for getting gum out of your hair too 😊
Work's great !!
Shampoo works really well at getting sap off
Me: Dodges scrench.
Gonna sharpen my scrench now lol
The scendeer rope
👍
Paint thinner or gasoline seems to work decent for getting pitch off your hands haha :) that's stuff gets everywhere and doesn't go away 😆
