I like how literally the only reason Kady is there is too sing. The writers didn't even try to justify her with something else, it's just octave range.

Summer isn't an especially strong singer and she sounds great here. Also, I love how imprecise the choreography is. It's kinda like all the actors huddled up 5 minutes before and said, "okay, wanna crouch and circle her?" "Perfect."
If you look at each one closely, they are doing the same thing, but they are doing it in keeping with their character. Fen is over exaggerating it like she over exaggerates everything, Eliot is doing his intoxicated like sway, Fog is in his suit doing his uptight walking.
It would have been very out of character for all of them to do it exactly the same. And their character is why Margo is imagining them to begin with.

I think Kady is more of her ego, but she's too ego-centric to even admit that to herself. That or they didn't think of it until after they filmed it. But still, I want Jade, Hale, and the guy who plays Dean Fogg to release an album pronto.
I think julia is her stubbornness and craziness
I think they just want to put the whole team in at that point, I mean Kady is there for the octave range more than to represent some side of her
Q = nerd or apprehension (since he used to be really unsure of everything and still is kind of wishy washy)
Julia = stubbornness/desire to do good
Alice = penance (like trying to fix her mistakes)
Penny = her rough and tough badassery
That's my guess, especially considering the close ups in the last song. Q and Alice together would be her apprehension in trying to fix her mistakes, Penny and Kady = badassery and ego/confidence. And Kady was focused on twice (because she's got some pipes and Margo is just tearing this place apart)
Q=her insecurities
Alice=her intelligence
Penny=her feeling lost without Elliot
Julia=her sense of powerlessness

This musical and last year's had different themes. Before it was Unity, this one Acceptance. Besides there is no way any show on TV could top Freddie Mercury & David Bowie. I would like to see them try.
I don't think they could possibly beat that number. The original is one of the best things ever and it just resonated so well (metaphorically) with the cast.

This is a fun one, and it makes sense to give Kady the bigger role for a power ballad. But it criminally underuses Brittany Curran/Fen. WOW her voice. In the Les Mis number in particular, her voice just floored me.
