In 1981, I was inside my mother's womb, so I can't say that I can say what that was like! I know that the old days were worse however in many ways with the disciplinarians etc. But yet I love 80's music. 🤣😂

I was shipped off to a Roman Catholic Augustinian boarding school. I met a friend his name is Serge. He puts on this album we smoke a bowl of some really good weed and listen to the entire album. My whole life and perception of international music changed after that. I listen to pretty much everything from all over the world now.
One of my favorite songs EVER. I just love Ultravox!
A total masterpiece. Bought it when it first came out and still enjoy it greatly. For me this is the best Ultravox album.

@Akstergrind The original three are masterpieces in and of their own, for sure. Hiroshima Mon Amour may be the best song, but , heck it's really hard to rate one over another.
This whole album is a pure gem, just like 'Vienna' before it, brilliant band and beautiful music which is rare today.

Absolutely underrated. Back in 1989 when I first listened to this masterpiece, I was impressed. Still, one of the best albums of the 80s.

Well, it sold gold in UK after its September 11 release in 1981, but most of us back when turned our backs on Ultravox after their 3 1970s LPs, when John Foxx left. I bought 'Vienna' in 1980, and that was it...

I bought this album when I was 15! I spent the whole Christmas 1981 playing it. Brilliant. ❤ My favourite track is Accent on Youth.

I like ultravox rage in eden album this is a great band it was the first time I got to here this great album if other people got to here this one they would like it I hope more make comments on this one because I want to see to here back from you soon and may god bless you with alot of love because he is the one that care of us all and will never let down, if you read the bible everything you see is alot of truth in that if you have faith then you also have the word in the name of christ our lord he just would like us to live our lives the way he expects to do.
I painted the back of this album on my bedroom wall back in 1981 when I was 14, props to my parents for letting me do this as I made quite a mess at the time but for an album as well engineered as this it was worth it!

I must have bought this album when I was about 14 and I haven't listened to it for over 40 years (bigger fool me) but hearing it again I'm dead impressed. I love the way that vinyl albums used to create a world of their own (they might still do but I haven't bought one for donkeys years so I wouldn't know). My 14 year old brain didn't necessarily understand what the songs were about but the soundscapes and cover artwork made a big impression on me. Really great to hear it again 😊

А у меня живая катушка 525 м , Ультравоксы 80,81. Записывал в 9 классе в 1981 году на Ноту 203 в Ставрополе с пластинок у Матевоса, за 4 полтинника 1924 г. оба концерта. Самые высшие Ультравоксы. VISAGE тоже есть. Всё есть.

I picked up a mint copy of Rage In Eden on vinyl on Friday in an Oxfam shop for £4. I also have the cassette which I have had since the album was released....40 years ago - feeling old!

I believe this is the first album without Foxx. Ure joined and had a big influence on the direction of ultravox. Pure magic. All so talented. One of my favorite bands!

Bought it when it came out but unfortunately what we’re now hearing is not up to snuff.
I love this album better Vienna because has more complex and more introspective sound with lyrics was about obscure and imagery. Is second way with Sir Midge Ure in Ultravox
