- The Sledge is Traxxas best handling basher IMHO. I'm digging everything about the truck (Looks better than my Kraton imo LoL 🤣) except the Chassis and the motor mount which are quite a Letdown. The chassis bent and the motor mount is a total junk! It lasted One bash!! A Huge Thank You to M2C Mitch and Avery for stepping in and addressing the heart of the problem. 4mm 7075 chassis, one piece sliding motor mount, Diff mount and ESC plate are Huge upgrades strengthening the weakest point of the truck and also taking it's durability to extreme level. till next time. Awesome Bash and M2C overview Brother Chris 😱!!!! Good geez that stock chassis looked like a blue banana 👀. What a complete letdown from Traxxas "Tough". 800$ plus tax for that and a substandard plastic diff holder and cast motor mount setup is a total letdown for real world bashing 😝. Who TF wants to fight keeping mesh or blowing pot metal spur gears when out having fun. Traxxas comparing the Sledge to the K6s on paper clearly didn't pan out for "no upgrades needed" 😂. I was deeply disappointed ☹️ and could Not hold voicing out my frustrations LoL 🤣. Who in their right mind wants to go out bashing when you knew this POS would break/ bend on 5ft jumps LoL 🤣. Aluminum chassis’s should not be used for bashing. Plastic is the way to go. But hey….M2C will be happy to take your money 👍
I appreciate your time watching. They all have their pros and cons TBH. Personally I prefer 7075 chassis over plastic for the bashing that I like to do. Metal can be reshaped when bent, plastic on the other hand when it breaks game over. I believe the combination of both are ideals and what makes better RC.
@@CommanderAstigRC …..metal can be bent back. But each time you do that it’s weakened. Plastic chassis’s don’t break as often as metal bends. In addition, replacing a plastic chassis is much, much less expensive than replacing a metal chassis.
@@pewterngold all depends on how you bash and the environment you're bashing. For my driving style which I consider extreme bashing 7075 is a MUST. I'd be lucky to get two bashes out of plastic. I've been there. Based on my experience the 7075 chassis lets you drive more and wrench less.
@@CommanderAstigRC to each their own. I don’t drive “extreme” like that. Makes no sense to me. It’s driving to break things. Costs more money and it’s not really driving. It’s wrecking.
@@pewterngold there you have it ' to each their own ' Bro. Extreme bashing isn't for everyone. It's a little tricky to understand things you're not into. I like to push my RCs sometimes beyond its capabilities and that's where 7075 upgrades come in. The Rush is FUN for me. I'd be replacing plastic parts every bash and there's NO fun in that LoL 🤣.
How well has this chassis held up?
@@mattt264 stock chassis lasted me one extreme bash. M2C chassis lasted me 3 years.

Traxxas is Bad Company for RC community..they Sued Arrma,Hpi,team associated,and more.. I would never buy a Traxxas vehicle or even show them CZcams..FJB..
Totally understand your point of view brother. Part of me somewhat feel the same way. I'm all about RC and Not the Brand Name. I also don't wanna miss out on a good RC truck that brings out the most Fun. It isn't perfect (just like any RC out there) but that's What upgrades for. Hope all's well with you Bro.
