My fat 8.6 lipo’s caused my straps to give in after bashing. Extended the old retainers with the bottom inch of a new set ($5). Some longer 3mm screws and they’re snug under the lid again.

@@GarageLifeRC nope, I did notice the hole error as well, super easy to correct when marking and drilling from the opposite direction. Don’t mind it at all.

I think by the time you have fully completed the build, all you will have original parts will just be the mud guard, the rest will be after market. . .

Id make a cardboard template of the chassis and put the screws removed onto it. I'm not good at this sort of stuff.
