it is based on the movie "salome", which is a retelling of the religious story about a despised historical figure named salome. the religious story has an offensive background to some religions like islam, while the movie itself does not have that same message and portrays salome as a good person. people just can't do their research. i think they could have picked another movie just to avoid the controversy but the movie really is not the same as the original story. it's just in poor taste due to its connection to religion.
