Man, Marry Higgins Clark had done it again! What an unexpected twist to the ending. She is one hell of a story teller!
Same here
Excellent mystery movie! I always loved reading Mary Higgins Clark books. She could tell a good mystery without having to use foul language or sex to sell books! Talent to the extreme!
I appreciate this style
Whaat? No foul language or sex! That sounds awfully superficial. I'm out. 😆
I know what you mean. You know what Midsomer Murders Mysteries and Murder She Wrote with Jessica Fletcher is like this also.
This is what exceptional talent in this style of writing is all about. God bless Mary Higgins Clark, may she RIP.
Read all her books years ago and always couldn’t wait for a new book to be published! Her mysteries always had twists and turns. Loving the movies.
Quite right, Deborah!
Without descriptive violence, foul language and 'below the belt`scenes, Mary Higgins Clark rose to become the world's number 1 thriller writer. That's an awesome achievement. And it should, actually, give second thoughts to all those authors of this genre, who feel they can`t do WITHOUT the above....
Mary was a graceful AND grateful lady who loved life and people; an attitude, or way of life, which found its way in all her writings. She died in 2022, at 92. Her latest novels, though co-authored with skilled suspense writer Alafair Burke, still bear that unforgetable "Mary Higgins Clark style".
I shall miss her books; as yet I have not found a thriller writer who might take her place....
I have been watching Mary Higgins’s movies for the past few days..She always wonderstruck me with her talents..Thanks to her and wish she keep on writing🥰🥰
I'm so emotional, and haven't seen the end. This elderly man such good soul ,
A great movie, though sadly a bubbly and honest life was snuffed! Bill was a gem 💎. Hats off to Nora who got justice for her dear friend. Loved every scene of the movie! Great story from Mary Higgins Clark'
God, Manhattan so many stories. I worked there most of my early life, visited friends who lived there, my father and his wife lived there, I lived there with my second husband. My son was born there at New York Hospital, we lived there about 3 years and we moved to Bayside, NY. Then life got interesting and then things fell apart.
My wife has all her book, and loved reading them. Now I can watch the movies and I understand what she sees in them❤
A awesome movie. Mary Higgins Clark knows how to write and keep people on their toes
Every time I watch this, I feel like I find something new! 💕can’t get enough
My favorite ....real, down-to-earth characters. Loved Bill !
I love this this movie. Been so crazy about Mary Higgins Clark's movies now. Such a brilliant author.
the best mystery movie ever....thank you Mary Higgins Clark....million thumbs up......
The lead is a British actress. She's good and has been in many shows.
Boy, this detective needed a wake-up call.
That's one of the best denouements ever, and that ending was exactly for what I was hoping.
I knew this was the second time I saw this but I forgot alot of the details (almost all of them lmao) Anyway Mary Higgins Clark has an upbeat attitude - spirituality always figures in. Good going Ms Clark. I see your daughter is in it. She too has written a novel or two - haven't read any yet.
I love the lead detective!
ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC 💯 💯 💯.
And what a twist.....
If she doesn't tell the detective about her husband and the woman who cashed the lottery check, she could have saved the detective a lot of work.
Read many of her books when I was younger
Just stumbled on these movies and are really enjoying them. Thanks such for posting!!
Me too
I had never heard of , "Mary Higgins Clark"..until yesterday .. brilliant writing and movie script as a result.
She also had a tiny part in this movie !
@@siegridthomas9674 Thanks for the enlightement .
@@siegridthomas9674 which part?
I've watched a few of Mary Higgins Clark - & they were all excellent. But this was first rate- many thanks
At 45minutes, I'm rolling my eyes. Did Bill bury himself after his heart attack?! Sheesh!
She's such a great friend
Yes! She’s so caring
the brown girl also a good friend to bill and her
@@angelicaplummer4691 definitely.
Well, if she suspects her husband, she should have the detective work to look for any new bank accounts with a lot of money in them. These days banks have to report large checks deposited or cashed to the Federal Banking Commission.
Fabulous movie ! Just right for a cold and cloudy afternoon matinee ! Thanks. ☘
And with a glass of Wine at night
Good movie! Mary Higgins Clark knows how to grip your intrigue.
Thankyou , ever since I discovered Mary Higgins Clark just a few days ago I'm hooked , I want to see everyone of them
The old guy was found under a bridge, how can you not look at this as a homicide? Poor detective work detective.
Right? Yeah, this guy died of "natural causes" and ends up covered in leaves under a bridge in Central Park. I was getting annoyed with the script, but figured it's just a means to an end.
he liked to sit under bridges(may be cover himself with leaves, as well)
@@memom2227. Exactly 🤦🏼♀️😂
So I guess a bookie used to be called a 'bookmaker' (!)... you learn a lot by watching these movies, haha.
Yessss, a happy ending. 💕.. Thanks for sharing 👍
Somehow even from the first five minutes her husband seemed totally distracted, as if he were thirty miles away.
Yes..like it was his first movie roll......
I was thinking an actress who probably has an active mind and is by nature dramatic would NEVER be with a guy so lifeless and dull.
probably they wanted to lead us to the idea that he is the guilty one till the end.
Lesson : The first thing you should do after buying a lottery ticket is to put your name, address and phone number on the ticket. I always do.
Mistery and suspense movies are my favorite and Mary Higgins Clark 's are superb!!
Great flick and actors thanks a lot❤
I don't really love these movies, but they're totally unpretentious and make great background movies all day.
Feel a bit cheated with this one- usually the culprit is one of the main characters. With this movie the suspect hardly features, feels like he was just thrown in at the end ☹️
I felt the same....
Watching this the second time. One often picks up things missed in the first viewing. The guy was found buried under leaves and the inspector says no suspicion of foul play. Hmm.
Loved this movie, excellent story!I thought I had it all figured out, but I was so wrong! Good mystery!
I enjoyed this movie 🎬. Thanks for sharing. SMILES
Excellent crime story!! I was convinced that the husband was a murderer!!!The good old days with your team of actors who were really special!!!Today, everything is a matter of artificial effects, computer processing and sound and image!!Now we are no longer spectators, but we participate in that experience!!!Greetings from Zagreb, Croatia!!!🌬️🌀🌌🙏
LOVE Mary Higgins Clarks books and the play was very good.....the only problem i had with the movie, is that the music over powered the words of the actors.....
I can 2nd guess most movies, this one I couldn't. Good mystery.
If I saw my husband eating lunch in front of a restaurant window with an attractive woman who put her hand on his arm when he said he was at the library doing research I wouldn't run away crying. I'd get to the bottom of it. Could be innocent. So just go into the restaurant, get a table and act surprised when you pass the two and introduce yourself and flesh out the situation. All that drama would have been avoided if she just confronted the husband.
A really well-written story, loved it!
Just perfect as a story.Slightly weird hearing her English/American! Characters really well chosen.
I love this movie. I love most of MHC movies. Nice mystery suspense. I would love to purchase all her books and movies. A good 😊 movie 🎥.
This was a Terrific Murder mystery !! It kept your interest every moment !!
Lovely, just perfect. Thank you
What a luck ...poor Billy ...very nice indeed..💝
Great ending
The scene of $200 thing was sort of funny !! Lol. 🤣 It was a very good thriller !! A touching story !! 👍👍💜🥁🐉🎤🎶💞
I worked on this , thanks for posting.
Good ending...I was starting to think her hubby was smelling like 'three week old sweet potato pie'.
Sara, you're a hoot! I laughed out loud at your 'three week old sweet potato pie' comment! Thanks!
Es una escritora fantástica y las películas basadas en sus libros nos permiten disfrutarlos aún más, es una pena que no estén subtituladas al español, un público inmenso se pierden. De cualquier manera, agradezco el esfuerzo de compartirlas.
A good movie & a faithful friend.
That was an awesome movie! Thank You 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Ome thing about Mary Higgins Clark is that her end plots are always same or similar, meaning suspect (s) is always the character the reader doesn't expect
Thank you for posting this great movie
It kept me on tenterhooks. A really great movie, thanks.
the question I am asking myself is : what had Nora's husband to do with the woman who cashed the lottery ticket? if she was a client (insurance), why is she calling him home after hours and asking him to show up in her place(in half an hour)?why would the manager(the criminal) say that Bill saw Jack and talked to him for a while and seemed excited (about something)when, Jack was not even there and could refute it (if asked)?
a lot of inconsistencies!
A very good Mystery Movie with a lovely ending.
Excellent murder mystery 👌 really enjoyed it. Thanks for sharing.
Wow! Great plot twists. I heard of her but never read any books by her. Maybe I will start.
Beautiful story...
Good story of Mary Higgins Clark, good movie, thank you!
Really enjoyed this, a surprise ending.

Can't believe this is the third time but it's like the first!!!! These movies are great!!!!
I'm glad it ended like it did, good movie.
Good movie and what a twist!
Thank you, I love Mary Higgins Clark! Can you please upload the Dive from Clausen's Pier 2005 based on the Ann Packer novel?
Enjoyed it
Great message!

really nice, enjoyed it
I love it.
Excellent movie! Tyvm
Once again MHC does a bangup job!!!!!!!
Thanks for this wonderful movie.
Why wouldn't they remove their 👠👠 before attempting to run down steps? 🤔
Never share your good fortune openly. A bird in hand is better than.. Always cash in your winning ticket and deposit your cheque first before you celebrate. 🍾 😉
Honey, when someone is shooting at you would you stop to remove your shoes? Furthermore, I always ran fast to catch a bus in high heels without ever tripping.
@@sheristewart3940Kick them off! 🤭 I'm so happy for you!
@@PumaLyn in order to kick shoes off, you got to stop for a few seconds, at least, while a crazed assassin is chasing you with a gun?! C'mon?!
I guess I'm too simple. If I don't need to be wearing dress shoes I don't, especially not outside of work and in the evening. Who lives like that?
@@memom2227I totally agree with you. I hardly wear dress shoes. 😁
I'm comfortable in my. 👟👟
In our culture, we remove our shoes before going indoors. I have house slippers.
Wow 🤩 great movie 🍿
Thank you.
The matriarch heir to millions should have said to the cops :"to each of the two of you, a million dollars as appreciation "
Neh. They were "dicks" to her right from the start. Deserved nothing for not doing their jobs and putting her down. It's like this everywhere. These missing persons cases could be more successful if the detectives actually listened to someone coming in before 48 hours. Sometimes a friend or family member KNOWS the person so well that when a person is missing 24 or less hours that something is terribly wrong.
Another great movie
Thanks! I agree with all the comments that I read below:)
Thank you for the great movie.
Very good friend.
❤
Wow great movie if I love I one more time Bill is a great character
Love it
great movie
Good movie thanks
Wow!!! Twists and Turns!
Jack not Jeff. Whoever Jeff is, I’d like to apologize for falsely accusing you of murder. 😂😂😂😂😂😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣
