honest question, from a yank; which is more popular in the NZ and Australia, League or Union? I want to start learning more and more about the game but i don't know which code is more widely played/viewed.
Rick dont listen to miscellaneous mind he doesnt know wat hes on about,rugby is way more global than league for a reason,rugby games can b incredibly exciting without stops for 5mins,where as league is stop start after every tackle alot slower,rugby has way more elements to it than league,in saying that both games can b boring,but when u get a entertaining rugby match its way better than league hence the reason why sonny has decided to finish his career in rugby,he loves rugby more.

It was a very good move for Sonny to break away from NRL .. and regardless of when and how it was going to happen it was bound to be controversial. I dont believe for a second that they would have been negotiable with him.

@One7823 Gear? No I think hes to replace Ma Nonu, which I dont have a problem with, Ma is a great player but his error rate is not the best. I think SWB will be a great addition to the ABs. And I mean, its not like he's going straight to the top, hes playing the ITM cup and everything so you got to give him credit for starting there. Can't wait to see if he meets the challenge.

Rugby is 10x more exciting than stupid, boring American football!! I wish we had regular televised games here. Most Americans don't understand the rules of the game because we haven't had a chance to see it played. I am a new fan and I firmly believe that U.S. football players are WIMPS compared to Rugby players!! Hopefully more and more of us will learn about the game and it will get popular here as well.

There was little point in going there in the first place except money. There's no sporting challenge in going from the NRL to any union comp..
