These are an odd slice of bratwurst these days but we have similar tastes and your insights are always interesting and spot on. My uncle's MGA imprinted me before I was old enough to drive and for me an open top is part of the sportcar essence, so nice to keep an open mind. It would be interesting to hear your impression of the 981 Boxter GTS esp. as compared to the 718 GTS4.0. Keep up the good work!
You know, I would make some repairs to the original seats and use them as is - distressed and showing its real age. Is the paint original (except for repairs)

@@deadgnu congratulations!! Spectacular car! It could be original since it was part of the sport package if it has option code 473 on the sticker. If it’s there you should have front and rear spoilers as they came in a package together. Some dealers have added them on which is considered okay since those cars were faithfully done to factory specifications.

Hi - I just bought a 3.2 1988 commemorative in the diamond blue like the 1st car here -but it’s got the whale tail - is that original? - cheers Pete
