I have a switch above the cigarette lighter knob on my 79 camaro but it has not letting or part number. Does anyone know what it's for? Thanks

I have a 1980 Camaro and when I go through the car wash water comes in on the passenger side where the plastic side meets the carpet (in where the passengers feet would be). Any ideas on what might be the issue? I've never had the car disassembled the way you guys have done.

There is a vacuum actuated flap on that side maybe the seal is gone ?

@@LandsharkGarage Thanks! What system is in the car would that flap be part of? Is there a name for it? Maybe I can dig deeper with a little more information. It's really frustrating, we've put a lot of money in a new engine, interior, drive train but we can go through a car wash :(

@@rickmorris3580 it lets in fresh air it is under the cowl screen on passenger side under hood. Not sure what it is called

@@LandsharkGarage I confirmed the flap closes when the air conditioner is turned on with the car running. The door is open when the A/C is off or the car is off as there is no vacuum. I covered the the cowl grill over the area of the flap with plastic and had no water come in during a touchless car wash. That begs the question. If the flap only closes when the car and AC are running does that mean I should expect water to come in the car if I turn the A/C or car off during the car wash. That would seem like a design flaw? Thoughts

@@rickmorris3580 yes it does seem that way. I guess Im not sure on how it functions as I no longer have ac and haven’t put a lot of miles on ours as winter hit right after we finished it. I will have to take a look at the flap when we get her out of storage
