2024 Isuzu D-Max AT35

If you really want to go 'anywhere', you need a couple of things: masses of ground clearance, specialised off-road suspension and proper all-terrain tyres. This particular Isuzu D-Max has all of those things, courtesy of the comprehensive upgrade by Arctic Trucks, and Ernest put it through its paces on and off the beaten track to find out how it performs.

Aesthetically, the AT35 is probably the best looking pick up truck in SA after the Raptor. The height, big tyres, and wide track are absolutely perfect. The only letdown is the engine. I wish it had at least 200kW.

Here in Norway, as from 2024, we get Dmax even in AT37 version But the engine is small, only 1.9 liter and 163hp/360nm🤔🤔

Most raptor buyers won't keep the car for really Long. So reliability is not an issue.
