Excellent advice and thank you for the reminder of what is happening.
Even if you do not live in a flood zone, the power lines and service roads will most likely be and you can/will experience an outage in one extreme or the other.
Take for example the last freeze that knocked down a lot of trees, while the event was short lived the impact of the outages lasted for weeks for people just a few miles outside of the Austin area, If you lived in Taylor the outage was severe due to the trees knocking down lines and the repairs took a long time.
Some of my friends had generators, but the fuel ran out quite quickly, others had a hybrid solution of generator and solar which basically extended their power without any stress or delay.
Thanks for message
It’s best to be prepared. We only have ourselves and our community to rely on when the lights go out. People don’t know how to survive anymore without electricity.
Before buying my home I made sure I was not in a flood area. I also made sure I was in an area with very low chance of Tornado and Hurricanes.
Bravo! Great job!
Smart man! 👍🏻
