Hi Luke, so how does the busy day look like? 😉 Also, I do admire the lifestyle however I i don't think same would apply to many data analysts, scientists etc unless they are employed on a 4hour per day contract. 🤷🙄🥴😉
Cool video. Can you tell what are the problems that will be given to you in the work on daily basis and what work you have to do daily that would be helpful .

It was an okay book 🤣 I don't know if I would recommend that one, BUT here is a link to what other books I recommend, hope this helps: kit.co/lukebarousse/book-recommendations
My most likely won’t be like this since once I become a data analyst it’s going to be a regular 8-5 corporate job.. 😒 but I hope that tech companies are flexible with their workers to take walking breaks outside of traditional lunch hour because I can’t stay glued to my desk all day
not rly related to data... but would you mind sharing what's your watch's model? lol it looks really cool xD Thanks and great and inspiring videos btw!
I only recently decided to pursue a career in tech and specifically as a data analyst and I'm looking to do it with an online bootcamp. Hence, I have been watching informative videos about the field and also real people's experiences like this one. And being an athlete my whole life, I'd like to keep being able to train and stay active. However, some "day in the life" videos I have seen almost make that impossible. Watching your video, though, made me a little positive, hopeful, and inspired for the career! I do have some questions though. How did you get to make it like this, that you can do your work but still also give time for yourself and your hobbies? Did it take too long? Are you also self-employed or something? Hope you respond. Would love to see a video on it too! New here, but love your work man!!
Hey my dude, this lifestyle has definitely been a work in progress. If you are interested in becoming a data analyst than I highly recommend you check out some videos on my channel. I suggest starting here for your questions: czcams.com/video/3Ao2FV1r5-8/video.html

My buddy and I do gravel riding before work, you can just add it to your calendar as a "rolling work sync". Also, "check email", don't you mean check Slack for an hour? ....also, I just joined a CrossFit gym haha
Good life-work balance, this is so infrequent especially for who work with data analytics or programming I think! There are so much videos and vlogs that show how the average worker in this field work along all day or almost in practice, but they still talk about work-life balance. How much do you work daily, 6/7 hours?
hello, i am a junior analyst and applied for 150 jobs. i will get a data analyst job soon and curious how my day will be :D. It is a lot of sport there, would be a dream if my company would help me with that. Take care about data pipelines, building dashboards, meeting people, explain stuff to non-techs for 8 hours i expected. For a someone who never has seen and university its a weird feeling to spend the time so much differently is really nice.
With my job of working remotely i'm allowed some of these privileges, so I'm really lucky for this. This may not be the same for every employer, but at least for mine as long as I am generating productive work; they don't really care if i'm not in front of my computer for 8 hours straight.
This is the most motivational and balanced day in the life I have ever seen. Me: mountain biking to my new standing desk.

@@LukeBarousse Im been there and im convincing my wife to move there. Hopefully we can find a good oppurtunity there.
@@blasperero26 Bentonville is such a great town to live in; highly recommend it. Although I work remotely, I feel there are plenty of opportunities here. Good luck with the search
I definitely noticed when I started training, eating right and IF I had a lot more confidence and it lead to a much healthier lifestyle and a lot better compensation (with strength and ability comes confidence). My days are similar to yours except I run and box. I'd love to be near the mtb trails or slopes one day. Goals
SWEET LIFE MAN, ALL THE BEST.
Thanks Louis!
I am a data analyst; I wish I were that cool and relax in the job 😎
You can my dude! All days for me aren't this action packed but I try to keep them fun and interesting as much as possible. Thanks for watching!
coolest Data Analyst ever
Ha! I don't know about that
Hey mate, just wanted to ask you was your day the same before pandemic ? Btw love your videos!!!
Not at all... I was mostly stuck in an office 8-5... I feel like things have changed dramatically for the better!
@@LukeBarousse Damn, mine was worse when pandemic hit. WFH with insecure boss was crazy. And work piled up significantly because they were afraid people are not doing ahit when working at home. Worst of all, it's a government office, which even with awful management would still survive no matter what, thus there's no incentive to fix things up.
@@syhusada1130 Dang, I'm so sorry to hear this. Luckily I was fortunate with my bosses.
Very productive. I spend like hours for just reading news.
THank you!
Those muscle ups on rings are brutal 👌
Ha! Yes they are!
Nice life bro! Hey, 2 questions: 1.whats that soda you drink? 2.can you talk about your standing desk and the blue-light glasses?
Thanks bro!
1. Bubly is the soda - Its a zero calorie flavored sparkling water.... I have a bad obsession with it...
2. The standing desk can be found here: kit.co/lukebarousse/computer-accessories
I can't live without this thing.. when I sit all day I feel soo tired. Standing gives me energy and also relieves some back pain issues I have
3. The blue light glasses are what I wear at least an hour before bed... I feel it helps with falling asleep a lot faster by blocking the blue lights... amzn.to/2RbVrqD
@@LukeBarousse Roger that. Thanks for the info!
Found your channel today! Seems there are many other data nerds that ride, and I'm jealous of your proximity to the trails.
Thanks for all your work, and see you on the trails!
@singletrackmap
So many data nerds on the trails!! Thanks for the kind words Nicole!!
What a fun day to have, anyway I'm detecting some "The Everday Dad" video there
Ha, love me some "The Everyday Dad" videos!
Thank you for showing the process of being a data analyst, I have been practising mountain bike but I don't really understand why that should be part of a Data analyst routine. Any tips on Bikes for mountain riding?
I saw myself in your day of life besides the bike breaks lol
It's never to late to start biking!
dude you have beautiful life, keep it up! cheers..
Awe thanks my dude!!
May I please be your friend? That Zoom call looked so fun!!
The more the merrier! 🤙🏼 heck yeah my dude!
Man that's the goal of my life. It's not about all the money that I can get beeing a data analyst, it's about riding mountain biking every day hahaha.
Dude, I go stir crazy if I don't ride my bike at least once a day... gotta get out from behind the computer every now and then! ha 🤙🏼
Shredding & sending 😎😎
Heck yeah!!
Hi Luke, so how does the busy day look like? 😉
Also, I do admire the lifestyle however I i don't think same would apply to many data analysts, scientists etc unless they are employed on a 4hour per day contract. 🤷🙄🥴😉
Cool video. Can you tell what are the problems that will be given to you in the work on daily basis and what work you have to do daily that would be helpful .
Great recommendation!!! i'll work to incorporate this in future videos, I like this idea a lot.
How was the book you were reading? Id love to know your recommendations on books for business /data analytics! Your channel is helping me catapult my career! Thank you
It was an okay book 🤣 I don't know if I would recommend that one, BUT here is a link to what other books I recommend, hope this helps:

The mountain biking shots were absolutely amazing !! How did you get that ?? - really cool
Thanks for the kind words Naman. Just had to test camera angles to get those shots!
Really great work Luke ! Love your channel and look forward to more videos !! :)
@@namanjain1457 Looking forward to making more content!
I should do one of these as a parent with 2 dogs
Heck yeah you should!
My most likely won’t be like this since once I become a data analyst it’s going to be a regular 8-5 corporate job.. 😒 but I hope that tech companies are flexible with their workers to take walking breaks outside of traditional lunch hour because I can’t stay glued to my desk all day
Same!! I've worked in a corporate office and its rough. Keep your requirements for your employers high!
not rly related to data... but would you mind sharing what's your watch's model? lol
it looks really cool xD
Thanks and great and inspiring videos btw!
I have the Garmin Fenix... pretty good at tracking my activities. I got a blue band off amazon as it comes with a black band.
@@LukeBarousse awesome thanks for replying! Have a great day
I only recently decided to pursue a career in tech and specifically as a data analyst and I'm looking to do it with an online bootcamp.
I suggest starting here for your questions:

@@LukeBarousse Awesome man! Thank you. Been up all night binge-watching videos like yours. Would you say I'd have to sacrifice a few months of barely training when I start this career? Both learning and working eventually. Thanks!
@@bryan1635 I think this career takes work, but I feel when I sacrifice training my performance mentally declines... so even when I'm studying hardcore I still like to fit in activity to maximize my efforts.
@@LukeBarousse Thank you man! Love your work. Really also inspiring to see someone who's in the field I'm trying to pursue share similar passions outside of it. God bless you man
@@bryan1635 God Bless you too! 🤙🏼
I am a single mother and I should say- you are living the dream daily life!
Aww thanks, It's not easy balancing work and life. I can only imagine the struggles you endure as a single mother
Saw the mountain biking and was like "Oh, that would be funny if he was in Bentonville", then I see you bike literally next to my apartment complex.
Bah! Dude what a small world! this place is amazing for MTB, moved here last year just for it!
@@LukeBarousse It's awesome! Love riding the trails over here. Also moved her last year and loving it so far!
Seriously - an inspiration! I can’t help but ask what are those red glasses for reading?? 🤔
I do use blue tinted glasses but never tried red!
Awe thanks for the kind words Patrizia! The glass are blue-light blocking glasses. I use a pretty cheap pair amzn.to/2SnlpIx I feel like they help with blocking out the blue rays before I go to bet and make it much easier to fall asleep. I usually put them on an hour before bed.
@@LukeBarousse wow they look rad! Will try them out for sure thanks!
@@PatriziaValMadiona 😂 they look like something! hahah. I don't go out in public with them thats for sure...
Good morning, Luke! You know how to tell me what the name of these music is
I got it all on epidemic sound
My buddy and I do gravel riding before work, you can just add it to your calendar as a "rolling work sync". Also, "check email", don't you mean check Slack for an hour? ....also, I just joined a CrossFit gym haha
I like these hacks! ha! I been meaning to check out gravel riding, I hear it's a blast!
at 2:34 you press a button on the device to switch from Mac OS to windows operating System. What is the next is this device. I wish to buy it.
where did you get that awesome light for zoom meetings?
Amazon... the light is more for youtube setup...
He does more stuff until the noon than me all day long
Way to craft your own life, bro! 🙌
Thanks my dude!! ✌🏼
This vídeo is good
I do appreciate the balance.. but what is that like 4 hours of work? Maybe 5? I'm confused lol.
Good life-work balance, this is so infrequent especially for who work with data analytics or programming I think! There are so much videos and vlogs that show how the average worker in this field work along all day or almost in practice, but they still talk about work-life balance.
How much do you work daily, 6/7 hours?
I'd say i'm typically go from 7 to 10 hours a day... I just like to break it up with activity
hello, i am a junior analyst and applied for 150 jobs. i will get a data analyst job soon and curious how my day will be :D.
@@LukeBarousse oh cool thank you, is there a place for a junior data analyst from germany :x ?
Looks like a very good life to me.
Ha, thanks Steve; I appreciate the positive vibes ✌🏼
Every Data Analyst works for a few hours a day and the rest of the time works out?? Cool
I think everybody has their own routine.. hahaha. I just feel i'm more productive if I'm active!
Almost my ideal day of my life. (Less bike)
Im new reading news at medium. Which topics do you thing are interesing to follow?? Thank you! Im a bit lost as it has so much info.
Halfway through the video and just a meeting 😅
NWA is where it’s at
Keep up the content
Love me some NWA!!
Does it mean I potentially have the right personality for data analysis if at 6:00 my reaction was to excitedly think "Is that pen a Zebra F-mXD?"
Hey Luke, how do you make you CrossFit training program? Does coach make it for you or do it by yourself? Or maybe yo use some apps?
I go to a local gym that programs it for me, been fortunate to have that available
In which state you live?
This is what i would say sucessfull Life and Work Balance
Thanks for this!! You gotta have some balance between work and exercise! 🙌🏼
