That's all OK, but future students need to know downsides too, because it's fair and ethical, which migration authorities and migration/education agents hide so often.
It's good that you, Karl, already mentioned some of them in this video. And I am grateful to you for that.
The educational pathway to PR has many obstacles, meticulously placed to make the process of obtaining a PR visa almost impossible.
    How?
Firstly, many occupations, especially those obtained after a master's degree, require you to have 1 year of experience to apply for a skills assessment, while in order to get a job with higher education and skills, usually in government institutions, you need to be a PR or a citizen.
Then, you will lose years of your life to find another way, but you will realize that the choice is extremely limited.
Third, while you live here, on a TR visa, you will always be treated as a foreigner, you have no right for a bank loan, nor the possibility of a mortgage. You'll end up paying over and over for the next step in hope that it will get you a PR visa.
Fourth, if you have children who are top students, you will face another injustice. They won’t be valued the same way; they will have to study more, be employed and work harder than their peers to gain admission to a university. Early application will not apply to them. They will not have access to the same scholarships no matter how much they deserve it, just because you are on a TR visa. They studied with their classmates for years, but to see how average and below average students get benefits and your child is treated like a stranger even after 5 or 10 years of paying the same taxes to this country is very humiliating. Stop fooling people into living life on migration instalments.
Fifth, years go by, you lose points, you fall down or off the lists of wanted migrants. The lists of occupations change, new students come who also compete for a ridiculous number of visas. Well, several hundred thousand people depend on 195K visas (already promised to others), so the chance to get lost in the process and give up is huge. You just keep paying to get more EOI points.
What all that mean? The migration system is designed to benefit only the education system and the economy above all. No one knows exactly how many people quit and what their struggles are. Those failures are hard to hear about for two reasons. First, there is no such media that will publish the injustice. Second, there is not enough ethical capacity in governments to admit that they are using this migration game on the account of blackmailed students. Students who, on the one hand, are blackmailed genuine students and have to return home, and on the other hand same students encouraged by the agents that this is the only pathway to PR for them.
Stop giving people false hope just for profit of your government. Coming mostly from third world countries does not make us less human. Stop playing with our destinies and show both the flaws and obstacles too, before people make important life decisions

I already secured my permanent resident visa and now I am on my pathway to citizenship by conferral. Honestly, I am still interested to take a bachelor of mathematical sciences, can you suggest to me how to enroll for study in this interesting subject at any university in Australia (Because I don't have an ATAR score)

    Hi, Very informative video.
I have a bachelors degree in Engineering from Bangladesh which i am in midst of getting assed and approve by Engineering Australia. I already have PTE 78 score each band, and will sit for NAATI exam soon.
I just applied for Master of Research (electric engineering) at a university in Sydney. Just waiting for the offer letter now.
Do you think i would be able to get a PR after i finish Master's in 2 years?

    Hi Karl,
For the 485 replacement visa, it is asked to provide certified copy of passport travel pages. Can I scan and upload the original travel pages of passport in the attachment section?
    Thank You
