The 'electric brake' is a regenerative brake and adds battery charge. The best advantage of the friction brake is that there's nothing there to go wrong. Great review. By the way, you're spot on re. The safety gear. I ride an Apollo, and I always wear safety gear. The guys who don't get hurt. It's that simple. Wear the gear. You rock!
Great vid man! As far as THE BLINKING display... It's because your camera is filming at (probably) 30 frames per second. Basically, 30 photos are taken per second, but since the display blinks at a different rate, it displays a number of "frames" per second that doesn't sync up. The camera catches some of them, but not all of them, so you end up with some frames on your camera when the LED display is "off". Think about the display blinking 24 times per second, but you take 30 pictures a second. This blinking on camera is the result. With a pro camera you can adjust your frame rate which can eliminate that. It's similar to the effect of a helicopter blade when it looks (on camera) like it's not moving, or when a wheel looks like it's turning backwards. Check your camera settings on your phone to see if you can change the fps. Probably not, but I think there are a few phones that let you.
I just subscribed for the Voyager, The reasons were,My San Francisco Hill climbing abilities,The styling and the dual motors. One other nice thing about the Voyager is the sick cobalt blue color! It's a no brainer color choice.Peace
I'll tell you hills here in Louisville will not compare. We do have some good ones though and I have not come to one that my Voyager did not climb straight up.
I have seen lots of conflicting information about Unagi scooters, especially here where I am in NYC, however most has been highly negative. Get a different scooter people, theres many affordable options out there.
I'm just a big fan of the All Access rental program. I don't believe that I would full out purchase an Unagi, but $70 month and I have had no problems at all with service. Scooter was replaced within 3 days..... There are a lot of cheaper options out there that would get the job done with no problem, I've just been relatively happy so far
I'm going to have to apologize. The Unagi situation has gone so bad that I have now decided to just purchase a different scooter. The customer service is not there at all in fact one of the emails even stated that they are not making phone calls any longer. I was in a small accident I needed my scooter replaced, I pay $84 a month $10 extra for a brand new scooter and it took two weeks before I got a new scooter. Then the scooter that they sent me would not hold a charge, I had to send that one back after 26 emails back and forth I finally got a new one and the new one will not allow the speed inhibitor to unlock. This makes me sad I really did love my Unagi, I ended up going with an eMove touring scooter which I believe is relatively comparable but considerably better in every way. I will be doing a review on the touring versus Unagi and letting everybody know about my experience that I have had. Thank you so much for any responses that you have given me and look for my new review in about a week with the touring.
@@ridethelightning4869 Your situation is pretty much the norm for Unagi. I did some more research on them because I was curious about their business model. One of the most frustrating things I found (for consumers) that many have chosen the subscription plan with a brand new scooter, and Unagi was instead sending out cleaned up refurbed scooters, which is fine if you’re on one of the other plans, but if a consumer pays extra for a brand new Unagi that is what they should get. Unagi has no actual customer support and everything is handled by an automated system, they are hemorrhaging money and companies that lose money like that can’t really be trusted. Im sorry you had that experience.
the surface that your ryding on dictates what level of suspension you need if there are no holes in the pavement you dont nede suspension it will only add more weight
Well to be totally honest, I'm broke and was not totally sure I was going to continue with the scooter world. Unagi with their subscription access was a great fit for me it was my first scooter it gave me an opportunity to go over a thousand miles and save money up to purchase a new scooter, also gave me ability to get used to riding a scooter and to see if it was something I would really enjoy. I did end up purchasing an eMove touring which is supposed to be being delivered today. I'm going to get some videos on here about this thing as soon as I get it going and we're going to get this scooter world rolling along. Yes it definitely would have saved me money to make a purchase earlier, however I would not have been 100% for sure of what I was getting into and the all access rental program gives you the ability to get out of it instantly with no repercussion or finance problem if it is something you're just not interested in. I'm just really sad their customer service has gotten so bad lately because the scooter actually was a decent scooter for me, the product did what it was supposed to do. I will say the experience I have with their customer service has definitely pushed me away from it and made me just go out and make the purchase. I'm excited it's coming today
@@ridethelightning4869 A thousand dollar dual motor unagi scooter isn't worth it to rent because the range is too short, the handles become loose and barely tight. I seen youtube videos that people complain about the unagi scooters.
Trust me, I'll be the first to tell you. No suspension makes it rough. However, I can say the voyager has taken a beating and just keeps going. Their customer service sucks, You don't ever get to actually talk to somebody. It's all email OR AI, But the one thing I can say for sure. Is that with the all access program? I know that I will always have a scooter. Available to me. When I hit that power button, it comes on. When I hit the throttle, it goes and as long as your expectations are not more. Then what every youtube video in the world tells you, you will be happy with the voyager
